Provides clinical programs direction, guidance, and technical assistance to contracted facilities in accordance with company policies, procedures, practices, national accrediting body standards, local and state statutes and regulations.
Analyzes and assess the effectiveness of clinical programs and operations and provides recommendations to site leadership.
Provides clinical program technical assistance to ensure that all aspects of patient care delivery meet established policy, procedure, local and state statutes and regulations, and applicable national standards.
Develops and provides training and expert technical assistance in acute care nursing practice and procedure.
Assists in monitoring and evaluating the appropriateness of facility quality control plans and practices.
Assists in the development of staffing and clinical operations plans in accordance with prospective new business requests for proposals.
Assists with new contract program development, training, and initiation of new clinical operations programs.
Participates in review of and make recommendations for appropriate changes to company policies, procedures, protocols, guidelines and forms.
Participates in the planning, development, coordination, and presentation of specific training and educational programs as appropriate to clinical programs.
Respond to requests from security staff as well as armor staff in accordance with armor and facility guidelinesThis includes following the rules and regulations for employee conduct/behavior and chain of command set forth by the command staff at all times while working within the detention/correctional facility.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
Skills, knowledge and abilities required
Knowledge of patient care charts and patient histories
Ability to write reports containing technical information
Ability to investigate and analyze information and draw conclusions
Ability to make evaluative judgments
Records maintenance skills
Knowledge of accreditation and certification requirements and standards
Knowledge of quality control practices and procedures within a correctional facility
Knowledge of nursing theory and practice
Ability to develop and present educational programs and/or workshops
Knowledge of data collection techniques
Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
Ability to be available for a minimum of 75% travel
Education and experience requirements
Current state registered nurse license
Current cpr certification
Other relevant professional experiences or educational backgrounds will be considered as deemed appropriateHowever, when licensure is required by local, state, federal or contractual guidelines, we will not alter our position on those requirements.
