Manager national accounts - eastern u.s- remote
Adm – biosolutions division – carbohydrates solutions
This is a full-time, exempt level position.
This is a remote positionIdeal candidate will be based on the east coast, preferably near a major airport.
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing new sales in the northeast for carbohydrates solutions portfolio of non-food spaces that includes but is not limited to sustainable packaging, construction, plant care, pharmaceutical, fermentation, personal and home careThis position will also manage existing account relationships with important emphasis of growing adm relationship and footprint with accounts.
Work closely with our customer facing organization to develop and implement differentiated value propositions for our customers
Develop new sales in territory focused on emerging segments
Be recognized customer expert and key point of contact for adm carbohydrate solutions portfolio,
Recommends specialty “value-added” solutions to national and regional account customers, including but not limited to, effective introduction of new products, technologies, and processes, to strengthen and obtain new business in support of segment growth targets and account plans.
Continually draws insights on customer needs and seeks opportunities to translate these into actionable plans and new sales developmentDevelops and maintains a strong working knowledge of the markets and competitive landscape
Develop targeted customer lists in collaboration with technical service, emerging sales and research teams.
Develop and maintain up-to-date ‘fact-based’ customer development plans
Analyze marketing insights to unlock opportunities for future account growth
Active use and implementation of crm tool (salesforce.com)
Establish and maintain professional relationships within adm business units
Wholly responsible for contracting activities
Ultimately responsible for effective management of cost levers (knowing the cost to serve) and in assisting in the timely collection of account receivables
5+ years of sales experience
Entrepreneurial mindset with strong desire to develop and own relationships
Resourceful, self-starter with strong interpersonal skills
Ability to work as a team player in a growing, quickly-changing business environment
Proven service and customer focus with ability to build customer relationships across all levels of management, purchasing, marketing, r&d and plant personnel
Demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects and report developments to cross functional teams
Willingness to learn, assist and manage all customer channels and products
Desire/motivation to help promote other adm products to “key” relationships
Education & experience:
Bachelor’s degree in science, marketing, business or related field and a minimum of five years’ sales and marketing experience, preferably in b2b industry such as, construction, plant care, pharmaceutical, fermentation, personal and home care
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Strong planning and organizational skills with specific competency in account planning and goal setting
Good computer skills and knowledge of salesforce.com and microsoft software including outlook, excel, powerpoint, and word
Overnight travel is required (30 - 40% minimum)
