Responsible for successfully completing the required basic trainingAble to perform basic job functions with help from co-workers, specialists and managers on non-basic issues.
Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:
Responds to customer questions via telephone and written correspondence regarding insurance benefits, provider contracts, eligibility and claims.
Analyzes problems and provides information/solutions.
Operates a pc/image station to obtain and extract information; documents information, activities and changes in the database.
Thoroughly documents inquiry outcomes for accurate tracking and analysis.
Develops and maintains positive customer relations and coordinates with various functions within the company to ensure customer requests and questions are handled appropriately and in a timely manner.
Researches and analyzes data to address operational challenges and customer service issues.
Provides external and internal customers with requested information.
Under immediate supervision, receives and places follow-up telephone calls / e-mails to answer customer questions that are routine in nature.
Uses computerized systems for tracking, information gathering and troubleshooting.
Requires limited knowledge of company services, products, insurance benefits, provider contracts and claims.
Ability to navigate between screens and utilize microsoft outlook35-40 wpm
Seeks, understands and responds to the needs and expectations of internal and external customers.
Can work within 2 hours of any anthem location, but would be working a pst schedule.
Required to meet department goals.
Requires a hs diploma or equivalent
At least 2 years of customer service experience in a call center environment; high-volume experience as a must in order to service call after call
Extensive background in face to face customer service could be considered
Stable work history; please clarify if you are working on contract/temp assignments on the resume so that candidates are not disqualified
Must be able to navigate multiple systems at a time, dual monitors, basic computer skills, customer service background.
Must be able to work from home with internet in a quiet areaWork space much be secluded that is private with no distractionsNo family members in the roomBe at a desk work space (not working on a bed or a couch)
The computer must be hooked up via ethernet (no wifi).
Training: 8:30am-5pm pst monday - fridayMust be available 7:30 am - 8 pm pst, potentially weekend ot
