The interior designer - healthcare position collaborates with design project teams to facilitate the successful and profitable completion of each projectThis position supports projects through programming client needs, conceptual design, schematic design, design development, construction documentation, and construction administrationAnkrom moisan is looking for an individual with 3-5 years of experience dedicated to healthcare projectsThis position can either be based out of our portland or seattle office.
Essential responsibilities and primary accountabilities:
Works under the direction of senior-level interior designers and possesses a growing understanding of each project’s work plan to help facilitate the successful & profitable completion of each project.
Collaborate on interiors projects, including programming client needs, conceptual design, schematic design, design development, and construction administration.
Assists designers in developing creative-design concepts & prepare presentations/design drawings.
Assists in the completion of project manuals and specifications.
Researches and selects colors, finishes, and materials.
Applies established interior design standards to projects & utilizes the ama qa/qc process.
Participates, as needed, in interiors plan for success.
Support communication needs involving clients.
Participates in office/firm initiatives.
Supports business development activities through assistance with visual aids in terms of strategy, preparations, and interviews.
Participates in inter-disciplinary collaboration meetings and charrettes.

This position is based in our portland or seattle office, which are well-designed, open-office environments with sit-stand desks and plenty of conference facilities and private conversation roomsThis position may require on-site visits to various healthcare facilitiesThis position is may be eligible for hybrid workRemote work must comply with all aspects of ankrom moisan’s remote work policy.

Degree from a cida (council for interior design accreditation) accredited program in interior design with 5-7 years experience in a professional officeWorking toward ncidq license preferred.
3-5 years of experience working on dedicated healthcare projects
Capable of creating space plans, placing components, advanced family building, collaborate with others in the model, rcp’s, cad links, elevations, enscape, area plans, schedules and has an overall efficiency gain that comes with experience in revit design documentation with the ability to mentor others.
Ability to participate in digital collaboration (i.eBluebeam, conceptboard, indd).
Working knowledge of adobe creative suite, and microsoft officeKnowledge of sketch up and enscape.
Capable of learning new technology as updates are integrated into our workflow.
Ability to participate in conversations with consultants regarding the integration of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and structural systems with respect to their coordination with the interior documentation.
Understands the language and process of design documentation.
Exposure to interior design specifications, industry standards, building codes, and accessibility.
Capable of assembling a graphic design presentation.
Clear, professional, communication skills; written and verbal.
Excellent time management skills.
Ability to participate and contribute to client presentations.
Able to prepare layout, color, lighting, materials selection through all phases of the ff&e process as it applies to the appropriate market segment(s).
