Develops detailed system design specifications to serve as a guide for system/program development.
Codes, tests, debugs and documents complex programs, and enhances existing programs to ensure that data processing production systems continue to meet user requirements.
Develops and maintains application design, program specification documents, and proprietary web applications.
Identifies and resolves system operating programs in order to provide continuous business operations.
Interacts with user management regarding project status and user requirements to promote an environment with improved productivity and satisfaction.
Provides technical leadership and training for entry-level team members.
Assists in scheduling, determining manpower requirements, and estimating costs to project completion in order to meet user requirements.
Performs related duties as assigned.
What your background should look like bachelor`s degree in information systems, computer science, or related disciplineMinimum of 3-5 years directly related and progressively responsible experience designing, building, testing and deploying software solutions.
Proficient in iseries environment and coding languages such as rpg.
Experience with db2 or other similar dmbs platform along with structured query language (sql) syntax.
Experience with the following systems and platforms or relevant similar experience – iptor erp dc1, manhattan scale wms, electronic data interchange (edi), jd edwards jda e3 and integrations with dc1Itil experience or certification desirable.
Competence to understand technical documents and apply technical information to solve problems.
Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
Strong organizational skills; attention to detail.
Solid understanding of business requirements and ability to prepare architectural specifications from which applications will be designed.
Ability to assign and monitor application design and ensure compliancy with architectural standards.
Good conceptual and problem-solving skills to evaluate business problems and apply applications knowledge to identify appropriate solutions.
Good interpersonal skills; effective team player.
Experience with providing customer service to internal and external customers.
Experience with using agile methodologies; working knowledge of other development methodologies like iterative and waterfall.
