The project manager, r&d fixtures is responsible for planning, leading and managing new product development projects in plumbing product categories, specifically focusing on senior bathing and in-home custom solution bathtubs and showersThe project manager manages the execution of multiple projects from ideation through to launch.
This individual will be responsible for managing the implementation of new product development projects that require extensive cross-functional coordination, working with marketing, sales, manufacturing, finance, design, logistics, and procurement functions to ensure that optimal business solutions are implementedHe or she will manage project plans, timelines, budgets, risks, and resources while monitoring the process from concept through to launchStage gate processes will be utilized to analyze and align, seeking to maximize the quality, speed, and business impact of the projects.
This is a new role and the project manager will need to work closely with the business unit to build relationships and learn manufacturing and sales processThis person will need critical analytic skills to determine the evolution of the existing sales model into the parameters of the global stage gate processes and make recommendations for business practices to management.

Defining critical process / product parameters and their targets.
Managing, planning, scheduling, communicating, facilitating, and reporting project related tasks.
Coordinating the work of project team members to ensure that project goals are achieved.
Identifying risks, formulating and executing mitigation plansFacilitate and lead problem solving.
Monitor cost for both project and product assuring actual cost is on target.
Reviews and assures sap accuracy: stibo entry, bom’s and routings, cost, capex management
Participate in pilot assembly and coordinate with quality, process, engineering and manufacturing team for a successful production start-up.
Breaking work down into manageable tasks required to meet project objectives and assigning and/or directing the work of others.
Leading cross-functional teams.
Maintain regular communication with product and project management teams on cross-category initiatives to identify opportunities for synergies and project efficiencies, maximizing resources and sharing lessons learned.
Coordinating regional stage gate reviews as well as project presentations of deliverables and reporting progress to senior management.
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, or other analytical discipline.
Minimum of 10+ years of professional experience in project leadership including management of complex projects for a minimum of 5+ years.
Pmp or equivalent professional certification, preferred
Project development experience in a consumer durable goods business strongly preferred.
Excellent knowledge of project management disciplines and project team dynamics, having successfully managed complex projects and demonstrated the ability to influence others to desired outcomes.
Excellent analytical, communication, teamwork and interpersonal skills
Proven ability to effectively negotiate and facilitate complex problem resolution
Knowledge of ms project, excel or equivalent project management software is required.
Experience with ceramics, acrylics, solid surface materials, and furniture a plus.
Experience using portfolio project management software.
Must be able to travel up to 35%.
Fluency in english is required.
