The american heart association (aha) has a **temporary** opportunity for a **youth market coordinator** located in the **utica ny area** Under the direction of the youth market vice president, the temporary youth market coordinator completes a variety of tasks to support the needs of the business, particularly during peak times and leave of absencesDuties may include outbound calling to recruit new customers/schools, re-recruit customers/schools, and/or to schedule appointments including vp/director planning meetingsData management is a core responsibility with data entry into microsoft dynamics and other systems, along with researching schools/districts/campaigns/history.
**essential job duties: **
+ develop, input, and maintain information in appropriate computer software programs, including but not limited to sharepoint, microsoft office, microsoft dynamics, to include data reportingPerforms data entry, data integrity, research, and data management.
+ makes outbound calls to secure new and repeat customers to schedule appointments, and to complete needed research.
+ coordinates volunteer planning meetings, as needed sending and writing correspondence and follow-up.
+ establish and maintain superior customer service relations with schools, customers, and volunteers by providing professional and friendly assistance within best practice guidelines, with proactive resolution of issues or needs.
+ other duties as assigned.
**minimum qualifications: **
+ must be at least 18 years old.
+ high school diploma or equivalent required.
+ no office experience required.
+ must have at least basic knowledge and skill with microsoft office 2013 or higher used for word processing, email, presentations, and spreadsheetsThese skills are subject to testing.
+ ability to work in a team environment and interact with all levels of american heart association staff, volunteers, and the publicThis includes ability and willingness to build and nurture relationships within and outside the american heart associationThis also includes the ability to work cooperatively with others to leverage resources to achieve common goals.
+ excellent communication skills with ability to follow-up with individuals orally or in written correspondence.
+ ability to be diplomatic, self-motivated, resourceful, tactful and flexible.
+ knowledge of and skill in report preparation, proofreading and attention to detail.
+ ability to function independently with minimal supervision.
+ ability to acquire understanding and absorb new information rapidly.
+ must pass background check.
