Summary of the position:
The raa business development manager oversees the recruitment, onboarding, and ongoing success of airline division representatives.
The raa business development manager is a key leadership role that provides strategic advantage by:
Driving full success of the rep channel which is a critical income generator for the airline division (70% of new money).
Establishing the vision and strategy for building a scalable growth platform through the rep channel.
Overseeing the recruiting, onboarding, training and activation of reps.
Accelerating new business development through marketing events and partnerships.
Building an airline rep community.
This position is remote and can be anywhere in the us- requires 25% travel
Duties and responsibilities:
Developing strategic alliances in the airline community
Researching and implementing new ideas within the airline rep program
Market research and analysis to find new target areas identify new opportunities within the airline space
Collaborating with managing directors on overall funnel management
Implementing sales processes throughout the team
Building strong internal relationships with marketing and client service teams in order to accomplish sales goals
Manage variable compensation program
Provide scalable leadership development & training.
Design, build and manage rep program structure
Bachelor`s degree required
Background in financial services or airline industry a must
Marketing background preferred
Minimum of ten years of experience in sales, business development, or program management
Pc and microsoft office proficient; advanced level excel and powerpoint skills is ideal
Tableau experience a plus
Excellent attention to detail
Self-starter- ability to anticipate needs and fulfill them with a keen sense of urgency
Keen ability to multi-task and adaptable to various competing demands
Must demonstrate the highest level of customer service and response
Ability to be very technical while still maintaining human/sales side
Influencer with the ability to work with people across broad, diverse backgrounds (pilots, creative design etc.)
Entrepreneurial with an ability to take risks
Very good leadership skills- ability to build teams with fine delegation
