The position of maintenance fabricator will be instrumental in the repair and maintenance of all stationary equipmentIncluding conveyors, hoppers, screens, crushers, screws, hydraulics, log washers, pumps etcAll while maintaining a safety first attitudeAdhere with all company standards, policies and procedures, as well as compliance with all federal and state regulations, including osha, tceq etc.
Duties & responsibilities
Will troubleshoot, perform repairs, rebuilds and maintenance of all equipment.
Will identify the root cause in failures and report to supervisor.
Dismantle and reassembles equipment, using hoist, fork lifts, cranes and hand tools.
Examines parts for damage and excessive wear and report issues to supervisor.
Replaces defective parts effectively, efficiently and safely.
Weld broken/worn parts on stationary equipment, mobile equipment and structural members.
Fabricate liners, chutes, pipes, tables, mounts etc.
Tests equipment when done with work to ensure operating correctly.
Servicing equipment as necessary.
Inventory and maintain assigned truck and tools.
Other duties as assigned.

Education and/or experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (ged) preferredMinimum five years of related experience and/or a combination of bothThorough knowledge of construction/mining, cutting /welding and other related mining equipmentCdl is preferred, but not required.
Computer skills: experience with microsoft office products and some ability to adapt to other computer softwareUse of smart phones in opening up files while working remotely.
Welding skills: experience with working with mild steel, hardened steels, stainless and castA minimum of 5 years experience is required.
Mechanical experience: a heavy machinery background experience of 5 years is required.
Work in all weather conditions within reason keeping safety of one s self and team in mindMight be required to work overtime, weekends, holidays and be flexible with scheduled hours.
Consists of both office setting and on-site at plantsOffice environment will include suitable work areas and standard office equipmentOn site work consists of activities which include navigating heights, machinery and exposure to elements such as dust, changes in temperature and weatherRequired safety equipment will be issued and policies and procedures focused on safety will apply.
