The contract & pricing manager is responsible to direct, organize, plan, and oversee all contractual and proposal pricing activitiesThis position is responsible for conducting contract analytics (pre-deal to post deal performance assessment), providing account manager contracting support, reporting, management of the pricing process, managing the bids and contracts life cycle from proposal to contract to rebate processingThis includes review of all revisions to agreements, identifying all legal, financial, and regulatory risks, providing alternate mutually acceptable positions, and obtaining designated approvals from appropriate aki stakeholdersThe contracts & pricing manager is additionally responsible for managing the chargeback process and chargeback agreements between aki and external customers– including state and federal government agenciesIn addition, the position oversees the forecasting of gross to net, modeling of pricing scenarios and fms case cost.
Contract negotiations and management.
Lead the development, structure, and negotiation of contractual documents with customers and/or subcontractors.
Draft, negotiate, and review various types of contracts and other business and legal documents.
Conduct pre/post award contract analytics to give aki a competitive advantage in negotiating and executing contracts.
Provide post-award contract management support to program managers for assigned contracts.
Manage contract process to include analytics, negotiation, and document management.
Manage proposal pricing functions and price to win strategies.
Administer all pricing activities throughout the contract life cycle, from capture to close-out, establishing appropriate processes and controls and ensuring compliance with all corporate policies and procedures.
Oversee forecasting of gross to net and modeling of various scenarios to enable the business to make informed decisions.
Provide analysis and recommendations to executive management for complex contractual issues.
Provide support to other functional departments regarding the company's business operations in compliance with contractual and operational processes, templates, and applicable international, federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
Assume process ownership for tracking and maintaining all contract documents, coordinating renewals prior to expiration dates, and preparing and documenting amendments.
Act as primary interface with customer for contractual issues; monitor contract and associated program to ensure that contractual obligations are communicated and understood.
Interacts daily and effectively communicates with operational and program leadership, functional support staff, government personnel, and partners on a variety of contract issues and provides broad technical contractual guidance to internal customers.
Professionally administers and ensures effective management of the overall contract through all stages of the project lifecycle to ensure compliance with all contractual requirements.
Oversees the evaluation of contract performance to determine necessity for amendments or extensions of contracts, and compliance to contractual obligations.
Prepares and / or provides information and reports for management use.
Prepares and distributes reports and statistical data to facilitate planning and maintenance of accurate contract records and files.
Providing executive oversight and management of company business agreements including prime contracts, subcontracts, orders (task, delivery, purchase), consulting agreements, teaming agreements, and non-disclosure agreements
Serve as subject matter expert on compliance with the federal acquisition regulations (far), the defense federal acquisition regulations supplement (dfars), far supplements and other procurement laws and regulations.
Aggressively support the capture process, including rfp/rfq risk and compliance assessments, pricing and negotiation, and advising management of contractual rights, obligations and risks.
Ensures company records are maintained, as required in various government automated systems and portals including sam, gsa advantage and others.
Responsible for audit responses and other contract data queries.
Education and/or experience
Bachelor’s degree or extensive experience working in a similar capacity can be substituted for a degree.
Minimum 5 years’ professional management level work experience in related field.
Demonstrated ability of creating and reviewing complex pricing and contractual agreements in government contracting.
Working knowledge of far/dfar.
Foreign military sales (fms) contracting experience.
Experience with the international traffic in arms regulations (itar) regulation and the united states munitions list (usml) is a plus.
Familiar with costpoint project initiation.
Ability to handle highly sensitive, confidential information and situations.
Excellent written & verbal communication skillsStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsMust be proficient in the use of basic computer software (i.e., microsoft word, excel, and powerpoint).

Ability to work under pressure, independently with minimal supervision in a discreet and confidential manner.
Ability to plan and organize all corporate functions.
Ability to publish reports and newsletters.

Position may require extended hours using a computer in an office setting and lifting up to 25 pounds.
Proficiency with setting up projects in costpoint.
Knowledge of processes and procedures dealing with foreign military sales (fms) contracting.
