Resolution bioscience, now part of agilent, is redefining cancer patient care by providing genomic analysis of the disease using noninvasive liquid biopsy methodsWe are seeking an experienced software development engineer in test to join our fast-growing teamYou will focus on testing the software that makes up our analytical pipeline used to process patient dna sequence dataWe are scaling up to meet a 10x increase in patient/tests delivered; adding significant new capabilities to our cancer diagnostic system; and readying our software to achieve important business regulatory milestones.
This position is remote in washington state only

Role and responsibilities
Create comprehensive, automated test strategies/plans and frameworks for analysis pipeline software.
Provide coaching to other team members for designing test strategies, test cases and automation.
Design and execute tests using automated test tools as well as manual testing processes, for the verification of software requirements.
Ensure automated tests are integrated with software builds and that they execute reliably in our ci system.
Create and curate in-silico reference data sets that are representative of expected input data.
Collaborate with software development, assay development, and computational biology teams to understand requirements as well as define, develop and execute test cases.
Assist the verification lead in workload planning and time estimation.
Assist development team on debugging and solving issues discovered during test.
Document test cases and results, in the form of fda auditable test plans, protocols, and reports for resolution bioscience quality control systems, and resolution bioscience software medical device pma filing(s)
Required qualifications
B.sIn science or engineering field
4+ years of experience with test automation and software development/qa in a linux environment.
4+ years of experience with automated build and continuous integration systems.
2+ years of experience with test case management tools.
Experience working with a production devops team.
Familiarity with containerized builds (e.g., docker), and container orchestration (e.g., kubernetes).
Familiarity with aws or other cloud services
Experience developing and contributing to an iterative, team developed code base, and dataset repository
Demonstrated ability to understand and analyze complex problems and break them into small solvable pieces
Preferred qualifications
M.sOr ph.dIn science or engineering field
Hands-on experience with programming and scripting languages such as python and .with test frameworks such as pytest, unit test.
Familiarity with cancer biology, bioinformatics tools (samtools, illumina tools, etc), next generation sequencing
Prior medical device software experience
Experience in verifying algorithms, and working with data workflow and data analysis software.
Experience working in an fda regulated environment
