Act as lead coordinator for prospect related needs providing support to sales and other functions engaged in the rfp process, including follow up and finalist presentations and questionnaires.
Establish and maintain positive working relationships with internal and external customers.
Strategize with underwriting, sales associates, functional leaders and relevant internal parties to develop solutions and appropriate responses for more unique prospect needs.
Provide insight on administrative or other capabilities as needed for general use or prospect specific.
Work closely with pricing team associates to ensure needs of the prospect are understood and considered while plan pricing is being determined.
Convert internal discussions into client or prospect-friendly language.
Proofread and edit rfps for other team members.
Become familiar with third party (broker, advisor, consultant) preferred approaches and ensure consistency with all responses; advise internal parties as needed.
Ensure robust, useful and current resources and reference materials are readily available to team-mates, sales and other users.
Contribute to improving rfp process and efficiency.
Represent rfp team by participating on project teams as new or proprietary products are developed.
Responsible for product oversight as needed.
Assist in managing workflow and projects as requested.
Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field or equivalent experience.
One year of rfp-related experience, or three years of relevant industry experience (i.eMarketing, sales, customer care).
Strong written and verbal communication skills to prepare proposals and consult with contact.
Project management and organizational skills to handle competing deadlines.
Problem solving, research and analytical skills to make sound judgments on information provided to prospective clients.
Strong attention to detail, accuracy and quality.
Proficiency with microsoft product suite, including excel, word and powerpoint
Strong critical thinking, research, decision-making and problem-solving skills.
Experience with qvidian database, salesforce and other proposal systems, tools or applications used in the rfp response process.
Knowledge of life and health, voluntary or ancillary benefits products and services.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, financial acumen and high proficiency in mathematical concepts.
Independent, self-motivated individual with ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously.

The salary for this position generally ranges between $48,000-$55,000This range is an estimate, based on potential employee qualifications, operational needs and other considerations permitted by lawThe range may vary above and below the stated amounts, as permitted by colorado equal pay transparency rule 4.1.2.
This position is also typically eligible for an annual bonus based on the company bonus plan/individual performance and is at company discretion at a rate of 7.5%
