Lead product development process (pdp) activities for the global service organization as the service leader on the product development teams (pdts).
Manage and facilitate all product development deliverables
Act as pdp communication liaison between development teams, and the broader global service organization, delivering status communications and soliciting feedback
Work effectively within product development teams to complete projects in a timely manner with proper documentation, progress reporting, planning and problem resolution
Maintain integrated project schedule for service pdp
Establish requirements for serviceability – ‘engineered for serviceability’
Lead service functional review meetings for pdp
Maintain strong focus on product roll-out activities, monitoring, and lifecycle controls
Directly participate in pdp deliverable execution, including hands-on testing, documentation creation and verification, configuration control testing, lifecycle establishment
Support product development after design transfer through various sustaining, field support, enhancement, and maintenance activities via product development team.
Establish and drive a closed-loop process for monitoring products throughout their lifecycle, and incorporate service/field feedback into pdp.
Maintain strong and productive relationships with engineering, manufacturing, commercial, and global service teamsPdp requirements for serviceability established through cross-functional engagement, and collaborative sessions.
Drive functional agreement for elements and deliverables of the pdp.
Engage in process creation/improvement activities among the functions in support of pdp.
Qualifications: aRequired
Bs degree in an engineering discipline, with priority given to ee and cs
Minimum 3 years’ direct experience working with a field organization, ideally in a customer-facing service role
Demonstrated ability to write product development requirements for serviceability, including hardware, software, system, safety and documentation requirements
Proven ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and concisely as well as proven ability to facilitate meetings at all levels of an organization
Verified ability to balance cost, quality and schedule constraints while escalating issues as needed
Confirmed ability to prioritize and balance multiple competing priorities within and across multiple projects simultaneously
Demonstrated mechanical and electrical concept aptitude
Ability to directly engage engineering materials, including electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, design requirements
Excellent problem-solving skills for complex electromechanical systems
Hands-on experience with electronic test equipment including software tools, oscilloscopes, dvm`s and function generators
Proven organization skills and project management skills
Inclusive process-oriented and result-oriented leader who works effectively with cross-functional and global teams
Excellent communication abilities, including verbal, written, and presentation skills
Demonstrated ability to accomplish milestones on time and on budget
Ability to thrive and flourish in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
BPreferred or desired
Experience with highly integrated capital equipment, namely medical equipment or silicon wafer fabrication equipment
Proficient with the following design control tools/processes:
Engineering change request/order
Document creation and controls
Product lifecycle processes and controls
Product structuring and configuration
Strong computer environment skills, particularly across multiple os’s, and standard office software, including project management tools such as microsoft project, or smartsheet
Previous experience as a field service engineer, technical support, or another customer-facing role for complex products
Experience with concepts of manufacturing
Experience with project management within a team framework
