Position summary:
As the national sales manager you own all retail sales revenue generating activities and relationships with retailers, distributors and brokersYou own the sales budgetYou are a leader who develops and owns growth-oriented targeted business plans that drive corporate strategic objectives, seeing them through to their tactical execution.

What you own
Retail sales plan and execution
Brand market share goals
New distribution in strategic retail accounts and key distributors
Relationships with key decision makers including category buyers, directors and influencers
Distribution, placement, merchandising and pricing objectives in all accounts
Sales programs and new product introductions to customers, brokers and distributors, driving new business in alignment with corporate objectives
Broker managementSelect, train, coach and manage broker partners to meet corporate objectives and ensure all opportunities are pursued
Business reviews and planning sessions with key broker leadership utilizing reporting that measures kpi’s, ensuring annual priorities and sales goals are achieved
Forecasting and crm tool utilization
Promotional budgets aligned with company strategies and roi targets
Customer relationship managementSupport and execution against key corporate, chain and distributor events (food shows, sales meetings, etc.) that ensure new business and category development

Qualifications and competencies:
Experience with a cpg company in sales, sales development
Food and/or beverage experience preferred
Experience managing broker networks
Proficiency in ms excel and powerpoint
Strong financial acumen to build profitable business in channel
Analytical background and experience analyzing sales trends and making thoughtful recommendations
Strong business acumen and communication skills
Experience negotiating, developing, implementing, and executing strong trade and promotional plans with both retail and distributor accounts
Dsd experience a plus
Willingness to travel at least 50% of time, if necessary
