Ampt is a global task force comprised of 15 countries and 30+ institutions that is establishing a framework to set strategies, coordinate global advanced material activities, and bring together critical mass and resources from multidisciplinary domains, including engineering, life & health sciences, public health, and economics & social sciences to fulfill its mission of using material science to solve global challenges.

Opportunity:
The account director will be responsible for leading the sales efforts of ampt with prospects and clients primarily focused on technology corporations, government organizations, materials startups and research institutionsThis position supports the revenue growth of the flagship ampt global event, puzzle x, as well as additional initiatives and events that happen around the year to align maximum value to customers and partners and ultimately responsible for revenue growth of ampt.
Duties/responsibilities:
Executes the overall account strategy to generate and maximize revenue for puzzle x and other ampt events and projects globally.
Accurately prepare and present proposals in order for both client and ampt to receive a mutually beneficial partnership.
Prospect for new contract business using a wide variety of methods including phone calls, outside sales calls, attending events, linkedin, email and social prospecting
Responsible for renewing existing clients and driving net new account revenue
Negotiate and close contracts that meet the ampt’s business plan objectives.
Provides accurate revenue and expense forecasts.
Monitors client specifications to promote smooth execution and client satisfaction.
Manages and coordinates operational components of sponsor, partnership and client agreements with the appropriate venue or media partners.
Provide accurate revenue and expense forecasts according to operational guidelines.
Communicate client specifications to appropriate operational departments and monitor implementation and execution of sponsorship and media packages.
Required skills/abilities:
Proficient at negotiating and closing contracts with corporate clients in the tech and industrial sectors.
Excellent management and supervisory skills.
Excellent analytical and organizational skills.
Proficient in database and accounting computer application systems.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong familiarity with hubspot, quickbooks and invoicing process in a digital first environment a plus.
Education and experience:
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, or related field with 5 years of sales experience required.
International sales experience is required, preferred within the deeptech, materials or international think tank space.
Experience selling sponsorships and global partnerships strongly preferred.
Previous finance and p&l management experience a major plus.
