Requirements:
Role responsibilities:
As a project engineer you will become knowledgeable of system design and communicate design concepts via sketches and renderingsIn your role you will:
Assist in the design of mechanical, electrical, or plumbing/fire protection systems based on field of study, using autocad and revit, for a variety of projects to include but not limited to corporate interiors, facilities infrastructure redevelopment, and core and shell new construction
Mechanical engineers will become familiar with hvac load programs
Electrical engineers will become familiar with electrical load calculations, feeder voltage drops, lighting control design systems, fire alarm system design, etc.
Plumbing/fire protection engineers will assist in hydraulic calculations for sprinkler system design
Learn how to identify, select, and specify equipment
Learn how to interpret national and local building codes
Attend and assist in surveys and/or construction field inspections, along with the review of contractor shop drawings
Be exposed to the shop drawing and submittal process
Meet project schedules and perform work within budget
Perform other engineering duties as assigned
Education: bachelor’s degree in engineering required; eit preferred
Experience:
Applied knowledge of autocad required; revit preferred
Proficient in microsoft word and excel
Relevant internship experience a plus
Specific skills:
High attention to detail
Ability to work effectively within a team and independently while managing multiple projects
