The purpose of this position is to serve as the program manager and lead a team of employment counselors in providing excellent service for people participating in the minnesota family investment program (mfip) in hennepin county.
Identify program development goals and implements plans to achieve them.
Ensure compliance and quality with program requirements, employment plans, and process sanctions and maintain working knowledge of licensing, regulatory and quality standards and applicable funding requirements.
Supervises programs centralized intake administration and enrollment activities in conjunction with agency service teams.
Oversees and implements program evaluation/outcome measurement system in relationship to grant objectives and job placement outcomes for mfip program participantsEnsures all required reports (both internal and external) including data management and outcome performance are completed in a timely manner.
Network with area businesses and program partners to assist in the development of systems to eliminate barriers to transportation, childcare and
Affordable housing for people served.
Build and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external program partners.
Serve as a liaison with other appropriate agencies and organizations to promote the interests of rise
Monitor revenue and expenses of program in partnership the program directorComplete annual budget projections within timelines.
Build and maintain a positive, effective work environment and manage team performance through direction, feedback, training and professional development
Lead others in focusing on providing excellent service for people served, their families, and all other people who support them; etc.
Ensure team members provide case management and employment counseling services including the efficient, timely and accurate use of documentation in the case management software system through the county
Review team member's individualized employment plans based on the person served for successful transition to employment and manage accurate case notes.
Serve as a resource to the team as they support persons served during the course of their job search, training and employment to assist in the development of positive work habits and attitudes leading to successful acquisition of new skills and improved employability.
One year of previous supervisory experience strongly preferred
Requires equivalency of a bachelor's degree or two years direct related experience managing a case load in an employment and training related field.
Training related to career counseling techniques; preferred mfip experience and gcdf preferred
Working with diverse populations required
Requires a valid driver's license and a reliable means of transportation for the performance of work responsibilities.
