The role: program manager
Reports to the engineering operations manager.
The ideal candidate has experience architecting and driving large, cross-functional engineering efforts (“programs”) and participating in enterprise programs representing engineering.
Core responsibility for this role:
Manage multiple programs of varying size and complexity on behalf of engineering and serve as a bridge to enterprise programs where engineering is a key stakeholderPrograms may include - but are not limited to - information security, new process development, engineering tooling maintenance/updates/implementations, new engineer productivity.
The successful completion of your first year, looks like:
Implement a program to execute information security initiatives at seegrid and drive multiple information security efforts to completion.
Implement new engineering and cross-functional processes, working with cross-functional stakeholder groups to adapt the processes as seegrid evolves and scales.
Implement programs for updates and maintenance to existing engineering tooling and new tooling implementation.
Operationalize the setup of equipment and tooling for new engineer onboarding.
Responsibilities will consist of:
Working cross-functionally to stand up and execute programs of varying size and complexity.
Driving decision-making about priorities within defined programs.
Tracking team commitments and ensuring teams are poised deliver on commitments made for defined programs.
Establishing and monitoring timelines for defined programs.
Managing risks and dependencies of defined programs.
Providing regular communications on the status of defined programs.
Adjusting program scope as new information emerges.
Experience driving multiple, concurrent programs of varying size and complexity.
Experience driving or contributing to new process development and process improvements.
Experience launching new programs.
Excellence in written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholder groups.
Project/program management certifications (pmp, pgmp preferred).
