The role of the junior project manager at kemberton is to deliver on the promise of the value of kemberton’s services business to new customers by creating sustainable businesses processes within the specialized revenue functions of our customer’s operationsKemberton’s junior project manager accomplishes this mission by working with a team of client executives, technical support engineers, and operations managers to both implement new customers, add new facilities to existing customer implementation and add service lines to existing customersInterested candidates will be able to demonstrate past success in the following areas: the planning, execution, and successful completion of service implementation projects according to demanding deadlines, within budget, and according to a generally accepted methodology, including agile, event chain or other process
The junior project manager schedules meetings, establishes and publishes the agenda, leads and attends meetings with all stakeholders to memorialize in a project plan the scope of individual projectsThe junior project manager works with the client executive of any given territory to make sure a sustainable service is delivered to the customer at the time of turn over to operationsThe junior project manager will lead project scope discussions and will create the project scope documentThe junior project manager will help develop the project schedule estimates based on scope information.
The junior project manager is responsible for several projects at the same timePrimarily, the individual helps prepare and communicate project status information to the customer and to senior managementThis information includes the project plan task status, milestones, schedules, project scope and contracted deliverablesThe junior project manager assures adherence to timelines and escalates deviations to the client executive and senior leadership immediately.
This individual demonstrates excellent organization and written and verbal communication skills and practical problem-solving abilitiesThe junior project manager must be able to work independently, be a self-starter and must also be able to work as a member of a cross-functional team.
Verbal and written communication must be professional, clear, direct, and accurateThe junior project manager will communicate daily with customers and the members of every internal department on camera and in person as the situation demandsThe junior project manager may be asked to attend meetings at which confidential information may be shared including protected health information, and the junior project manager must be discreteThe junior project manager makes sure that all members of his/her team know about any change to another person's project if that will impact other projectsTransmittals and other written communication (physical or electronic) must be comprehensive and clear.
The junior project manager is responsible for progress against milestones for each project and recommends necessary actions to keep projects on schedule.
The junior project manager leads all weekly status meetings on assigned projectsThe junior project manager prepares for the meeting by gathering status information from customers and internal staff prior to the meeting and publishing an agenda so that the objective of the meeting is met.
The junior project manager summarizes project status and conveys any concerns about delays to the director, business transformation and the client executive and recommends actions necessary in order to meet delivery dates.
The junior project manager will maintain and update a list of outstanding decisions and unresolved issues; may be asked to attend higher-level meetings where these topics are addressed; and must take notes and distribute minutes of all meetings including a list of decisions and/or action items.
The junior project manager alerts the director, business transformation and the client executive to any change in project scope that has potential budget exposure (or savings) or schedule implications and coordinates the change order request process with all parties as needed.
Pmp certification or working toward completion of pmp certificate required
Bachelor’s degree, preferredOr the equivalent business experience in a healthcare setting.
A comprehensive understanding of revenue cycle within an acute care, ambulatory and clinical setting.
Technology enabled services implementation experience, preferred
Friendly, professional manner of communicationGood customer service skills.
Ability to stay organized while working quickly.
Must possess good verbal and written communication skills

Preference will be given to candidates who have successfully managed projects in a healthcare setting, preferably in revenue cycle or within major healthcare it vendor deployments (epic, cerner, etc.).

Physical demands of the essential functions:
Sitting, talking, hearing and near vision are required over 90% of the time, while walking is required about 10% of the timeStanding is required over 30% of the timeThe sense of touch is required 90% of the time and reaching is required about 50% of the timeBending, twisting, and climbing are required, as is far vision, but only for 10% or less of the timeLow levels of lifting (10 pounds or less) are required about 25% of the time, while medium levels (20 to 40 pounds) of lifting and carrying are required less than 5% of the timeHigh levels (52 pounds) of lifting are required under 2% of the time.
Working conditions while performing essential functions:
