As a project coordinator at advantage drafting, under directive of the production manager, you will assist oversight and coordination between a team of draftsmen, quality control technicians, and our growing client base according to established processes and procedures.
This position will quickly become full-time for the right candidate as you develop and grow into the responsibities of the position.

Your duties will ultimately include collection and assimilation of information from our clients that tells all involved in drawing production how they want the job done.
You will be processing this information into an efficient and easily read set of notes, setting appropriate task assignments in project management platform, notifying appropriate parties, and ensuring the job is done on time and of superb quality.
Upon directive of production manager you will:
Deploy assignments in our project management platform wrike to specified parties, while doing so you will also be reviewing all project information and reference files in order to ensure all necessary information is availableIf it is not available you will create an easily read and understood rfi (request for information) for the customer to supply what is needed.
Be the first to answer all production related customer calls – if you are unable to provide the answer which is expected at first – you will make notes from the call and let the customer know we will get back with themThese notes will go on to production manager, where they will assist you to provide the answer to the customerThis way, you develop as you go.
Be responsible for checking in with team members that seem like they may not be able to deliver by time allotted, communicate this with production manager, and time-permitting, assist in any way you can to expedite delivery.
Review drafter rfi’s, answer as you can, and make sure any questions that need to be directed toward customer or manufacturer are represented with visual reference when possible, clearly stated and easily understood.
Experience in the metal and glass industry is a must.
Knowledgeable in storefront systems, curtainwall systems, glass office partitions, herculite doors, storefront doors, door hardware, glass guardrails, handrails, metal panels etc.
Able to read and interpret architectural drawings and be able to tell team members potential items missed or mistakes made based off reference materials provided or notes from customers.
Able to multi-task while keeping track of all assignments and deliverables
Comfortable enough in the architectural industry to have technical conversations with customers over the phone in order to resolve requests for information or misinterpretations
Efficiency in autocad is a big plus
Experience with wrike project management software is a big plus
Highly dependable team player – one who takes ownership of their position, if you prefer to get by on bare minimum – please do not apply
Good note taker / maker - all correspondence is required to be as thorough as possible so as to maximize accuracy in efficiently creating drawing packages and making all parties involved aware of the next course of action
