The assistant account manager is responsible for assisting in the day-to-day service and support for client accounts to ensure that client expectations are metResponsible for assisting in renewal, ongoing client service and new business projects as assigned, identifying opportunities to provide additional services and enhanced coverage levels
Primary responsibilities and duties:
Provide account management support with your assigned account executive and/or account managers
Gain knowledge of the professional liability marketplace and carriers our agency represents
Maintain positive working relationships and clear communication with co-workers, clients and insurance carriers/underwriters
Responsible for the day-to-day account management for routine/moderately complex client accounts
Maintain detailed records of all conversations with underwriters and clients
Assist your assigned account executive and/or account managers with presentations and proposals
Manage an assigned book of business and build, expand, and solidify relationships with existing clients
Keep managers, executives and producers informed of significant developments on accounts
Administrative support and backup for receptionist which includes answering phones
Requirements
Bachelors’ degree or professional liability insurance experience preferred
1-3 years’ experience within insurance industry
P&c insurance license or obtain a license within 60 days
Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
Demonstrate proficiency in computer applications, espMicrosoft office suite
Flexible, and able to work effectively under pressure, handling multiple tasks with interruptions and changing priorities
Exceptional organization and time-management skills
