Assistant manager, individual giving position: reporting to a director, the assistant manager, individual giving is responsible for the prospecting, solicitation, cultivation, and stewardship of new and existing donor relationships to raise unrestricted revenue and budget relieving, in-kind donations that support hire heroes usa’s programs and servicesResponsibilities: revenue growth
Identify, solicit, pitch, and manage the development of new donor relationships.
Develop long term relationships with new and existing donors through utilizing the company database, social media tools, networking opportunities and in-person meetings.
Test, monitor, evaluate and implement existing and new channels that allow two-way engagement with donors.
Keep abreast of all developments in individual giving and community fundraising legislation and regulatory control.
Escalate engagement to the director and c-suite as appropriate.
Maintain records of all interactions and activities in salesforce.
Prepare and present activity reports to the manager and senior leadership.
Contribute to and support other team and departmental work, as appropriate; perform other duties as assigned.
Strategy development- ambassador giving
Working closely with the alumni and volunteer mentor program managers, create and develop an ambassador giving initiative
Strategize, implement, and maintain program initiatives that adhere to organizational objectives.
Develop program assessment protocols for evaluation and improvement.
Maintain organizational standards of satisfaction, quality, and performance.
Identify key requirements needed from cross-functional departments and external stakeholders.
Develop and manage budget for projects and be accountable for delivering against established business goals and objectives.
Desired skills and experience
Bachelor's degree preferred
2+ years’ work experience in a business development, fundraising, and/or business-to consumer sales role preferred.
Relevant experience in a nonprofit, us military, multicultural and/or global organization preferred.
Strong interpersonal, customer service and problem-solving skills.
Ability to interact with hire heroes usa leadership and the public at multiple levels with integrity and professionalism.
Possess a sharp business mind and a proven ability to strategize and implement high-level program initiatives.
As a leader, you will have a strong aptitude for project coordination and be motivated by the desire to optimize productivity and nurture program success.
Proficiency using computers and electronics equipmentGeneral knowledge of various software applications and programs including but not limited to microsoft office suite and salesforce.com software.
Excellent communication and presentation skillsAbility to manage and influence external relationships.
Must show initiative, self-motivation, and attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple projects with competing prioritiesAbility to adapt quickly and easily to changing organizational needs.
Ability to achieve desired results while working collaboratively in a team environment.
Ability to perform basic business/accounting functions including project management and budget reconciliation.
