Oregon wildfire & covid-19 assistant program manager position summary: this position will assist lines for life’s covid-19 and wildfire special populations outreach program managerThis service reaches out to individuals who community agencies in oregon identify as being stressed due to covid-19 and the wildfiresThe assistant program manager (apm) will assist in overseeing the implementation of this program in accordance with the requirements outlined by fema and the oregon health authority, as well as supervise those employed by the program.
Oregon wildfire & covid-19 assistant program manager responsibilities:
Demonstrate the culture of lines for life by modeling behavior that supports the organization’s goals and philosophies.
Complete samsha’s “just in time” web-based training and hipaa training.
The apm will work closely with community liaisons, who conduct outreach to ensure community stakeholders are aware of the safe & strong emotional support hotline service that lines for life provides.
The apm will work closely with outreach specialists, who work to establish relationships with community contacts in impacted communities to provide information on the crisis counseling program as well as common disaster and covid-19 or wildfire specific reactions so that they may pass it on to their community members, as well as request calls to individuals they know may be experiencing stress due to covid-19.
This role requires strategic thinking for how to best reach specific populations which have been disproportionality hit by covid-19 and the oregon wildfires.
Assist with hiring, remotely onboarding and training staff hired for the emotional support outreach program in collaboration with hr, prevention leadership, and the program manager.
Supervise the outreach staff.
Lead and organize team meetings.
Provide direction, track progress on projects, and help to creatively problem-solve obstacles or share ideas on how to improve the outreach service.
Prepare data reports as requested by lines for life leadership, oregon health authority and fema, and serve as a liaison with oregon health authority.
Assist in presenting data reports to internal and external stakeholders.
Project management duties including: setting goals, deadlines, monitor project progress, create a plan to overcome barriers to project success, and pivot projects as needed/when warranted.
Coordinate and delegate with team leads.
Be a contact for marketing needs.
Attend weekly fema meetings and facilitate internal meetings.
Requirements:
Oregon wildfire & covid-19 assistant program manager required qualifications:
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in a related behavioral health field or exceptional program coordination experience in lieu of degree
Program coordination experience
Strong organizational skills
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to lead a team and supervise employees who are working remotely, including providing constructive feedback
Ability to develop meaningful connection and empathize
Able to track finances
Able to offer reassurance, practical assistance, psycho-education and emotional support
Proficient in web-based computer environment and multi-line phone system
Able to work independently and in a team setting
Oregon wildfire & covid-19 assistant program manager preferred qualifications:
Cultural engagement experienceExperience networking and acting as a representative of both the general and specific populations which have been disproportionality hit by covid-19?these include communities of color and at-risk adults over 50.
Knowledge of the oregon communities that have been affected by the oregon wildfires.
Spanish fluency
Asist certification and crisis intervention experience
Oregon wildfire & covid-19 assistant program manager work schedule:
This position will work 40 hours per week, primarily on mondays – fridays during the day, but may also work occasional evenings or weekends to support the needs of the community.
This position will be able to work 100% remotely.
