Hagerty, an automotive lifestyle brand for people who love cars and love driving them, has an opportunity for a technical product manager for the soul platform api teamAs we grow our enterprise, it is critical to help our teams grow our api’s as a product which are consumed by our internal teams and by third partiesAs a tpm on the soul platform development team, you will help guide the vision of our internal customer account hub and master data management solution (known as the soul platform), along with how stakeholders will build, access, and interact with itGiven the growth of our company, this role will be key to part of hagerty’s digital transformation and is as strategic as it is tactical, with a global focus to add value to the organization and our customersYou will drive the products through their entire development cycle, often from concept to launch, with a strong focus on details but never losing sight of the big pictureRemote work is an option for this role.
What you’ll do:
Own the roadmap and milestones of the soul platform, its api, and its integrations
Challenge the cross-functional teams (engineering, design, etc.) to think boldly and creativelyFunnel that energy into concrete products and execution plans
Develop and use kpi’s to understand impact on stakeholders
Internalize and deeply understand hagerty's mission and strategies and the corresponding purpose and objectives of the soul platform team
Create artifacts that tell the product story
Liaise with the business on acceptance criteria and dependencies for delivery
Monitor and measure launch features and feed insights back into the product development process
Find the best methods to communicate the thoughts, ideas, and feedback from all information exchanges under every context (team meetings, business meetings, user interviews).
This might describe you:
5-8+ years of product management, program management, or other relevant experience
Expertise in using project management tracking and reporting tools such as azure devops or jira
Proven ability to communicate roadmaps and status of that roadmap to stakeholders
Long-term strategic thinking balanced with near-term execution skillsDistinctive problem-solving skills
Proven ability to build strong relationships and influence business leaders
Experience with end-to-end product delivery and overseeing roadmap strategy and definition
Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product
Experience in crafting compelling positioning and marketing content
Ability to easily transition from high-level strategic thinking to creative and detailed execution
Demonstrated track record successfully managing ambitious and operationally complex projects with cross-functional teams
Experience in establishing systems; structuring and implementing initiatives at scale
Passionate and enthusiastic about organizational excellence and attention to detail
Thrive in ambiguity in a fast-paced, hyper-growth organization
Strong technology vocabulary with a good understanding of full-stack software principles
