Herzing university has a temporary contract role for a remote project manager to specialize in our operational initiativesThis temporary, contract role (6 months, but could be longer) reports to the director of it applicationsWe are looking for a dynamic project manager to implement new initiatives, initially focusing on new academic programs for the universityThe project manager for operational initiatives will be a strategic thinker who works proactively and can be successful through both independent and collaborative work environmentsAttention to detail and self-motivation are key characteristics for a successful project managerWith extremely nimble organizational skills, the project manager for operational initiatives will support a wide variety of projects from conception to roll out, enhance the communication between partners and stakeholders, and adhere to firm deadlines.
Examples of duties in this role include:
Project management of mid-size, complex projects with multiple partners, including the launch of new academic programs
Provide comprehensive project management for initiatives by developing and implementing detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates, and status reports to achieve project outcomes.
Interface with college faculty and broader university partners to execute on strategic initiatives, document existing activities, launch new initiatives, and analyze outcomes.
Manage communications with staff regarding new initiatives and opportunities and coordinate information sessions as needed.
Work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment demonstrating teamwork, innovation and excellence
To be successful in this role you'll need:
Bachelor's degree in a related field
At least five years of project management experience, including tracking and planning projects, and working with business stakeholders within a cross-functional environment
Experience in agile approaches to project management
Experience with university academic policies and systems is a plus
Project management professional (pmp) certification is a plus
