Position summary
A release certification & governance manager works with software product teams to ensure product releases meet the company’s defined compliance tasks required to declare a product as generally availableThey facilitate the tracking and execution of compliance by assisting product teams in understanding certification requirements, overcoming obstacles, navigating cross-organizational and cross-product dependencies and connecting with topical subject matter expertsThey maintain a focus on products attaining the enterprise strategies and goals of product readiness for market.
A day in the life typically includes :
Know and articulate the company’s defined compliance tasks to facilitate the achievement of certified status for each release, for assigned product teams.
Understand the software development life cycle and release certification requirements in sufficient depth to effectively assist the product team in keeping key stakeholders well informed on status, risk and mitigation.
Participate in release readiness calls
Review certification status and help product teams identify dependencies and risks
Assist in the creation of mitigation plans and issue escalation
Lead on-demand calls to overcome obstacles and reconcile discrepancies
Facilitate the rollout of certification changes and company initiatives as related to product releases using best practice tools and methodologies.
Work within the release certification & governance team to determine communication strategies and compliance tracking
Help define detailed certification requirements
Create and execute on initiative specific communication plans
Manage and track regular updates and follow up actions with assigned product teams
Participate in the design and execution on the enablement of product team members
Onboard and enable new product team members to the release certification & governance process
What you will need :
Basic qualifications:
Software development lifecycle experience
Strong background in analytical and organizational skills and time management to manage multiple tasks simultaneously including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Solid organizational skills
Commitment to teamwork and ability to operate in a matrix management environment
Microsoft office experience mandatory with extensive emphasis on excel and powerpoint

Preferred qualifications:
Familiarity of software project management tools (e.g., jira)
Solid technical background, with understanding or hands-on experience in software development
Proven working experience as a project administrator in the information technology sector
