Following processes within pmi’s pmbok guide and pmo provided
Manages a project team to include multiple partners and subcontractors.
Create and facilitate approval of project baselines (scope, schedule, cost, quality & risk).
Report project performance against approved baselines.
Report significant issues and risks to stakeholders and facilitate resolution or responses as appropriate.
Manage the project budget including project contingency, margin, and sub-contracts.
Ensure billing and invoicing are accurate, timely and coordinated with the project’s client.
Act as a consultant to the client and provide timely recommendations to achieve desired project outcomes.
Manage subcontracts including: make/buy analysis, writing statements of work (sow), t&m management, claims management.
Support the program management office (pmo) in developing, refining, and enforcing project processes.
Prepare change order documentation to include draft contract language amendments, pricing, milestones, and facilitate execution documents.
Required skills / abilities
The pm is responsible for the contents of pmbok.
Ability to work independently and with a team within a virtual environment.
Must have the ability to monitor and control project scope, schedule, cost and risk.
Strong administrative skills are required, including ability to use standard applications including blubeam, sharepoint, visio, microsoft office and microsoft project
Must have the ability to problem solve using plan, do, check, act and develop project process
Ability to interact with clients, as well as team leads and company leadership.
Must be flexible to work extended hours, weekends, holidays, and evenings as necessary when project necessitates the need.
Must be a self starter with excellent time management and organizational skills.
Education and experience
Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
Five years full time experience in project management with active pmp certification or ten years full time experience in project management with willingness to successfully obtain pmp within 1 year of employment, required.
Lean six sigma certification preferred.
Three years experience on relavant federal healthcare io projects, preferred.
Supervisory experience with the ability to manage an office of 10+ professionals.
Experience with earned value management preferred.
This position is remote with up to 25% travel, one week a month generally one (1) week at a time.
No direct supervision of others.
