The srTechnical program manager (tpm) will be responsible for driving projects from inception through deployment across all lines of businessThe candidate is expected to partner with engineering, test, product, operations, and external vendors to lead, manage, and drive hardware projects to successful completionAdditionally, the tpm will help us integrate traditional hardware program management techniques with the companies practice of using agile development reporting - to result in a blended approach that works for hardware development and allows integration into the agile flowThe tpm should be able to leverage elements of lean six sigma, pmm, kanban, scrum, and waterfall, depending on the project type, to achieve the desired business goals..
Responsibilities
Manage multiple programs and projects from strategy to execution
Collaborate with leads and management to clearly identify, explain, and communicate their project involvement, project goals, expectations, tasks, and timelines
Participate in product roadmap discussions and identifies key areas for improvement in the product and incorporate these goals into ongoing and future development initiatives
Contribute to establishing methods and metrics for tracking performance and making decisions
Track open issues and risks and effectively negotiate to impact decisions and trade-offs and to guide issues to resolution
Anticipate, identify, document, and manage key project risks, proposing appropriate mitigation and contingency plans while balancing business needs vs technical constraints
Comparison and analysis of actual project performance with planned project performance
Holds project leads accountable for their commitments, milestones, resources, and deliverables
Adept at driving continuous improvement for organizational policies and practices within and across teams
Requirements
Bs/ms in engineering discipline or equivalent
7+ years of hands-on experience in project/program management and hardware development(required) with focus on architecture & design, functional validation involving both hardware and software.
Demonstrated program management track record of leading cross-functional teams (including engineering, quality, operations, finance, product management) to deliver products.
Experience in driving third-party partnerships and working with asia-based manufacturers in production
Experience with orchestrating and coordinating complex technical programs and the associated budgets for teams delivering against these programs
Experience driving efficiency and effectiveness priorities into the organization with associated kpis
Proficiency with planning tools, ms project, tools used in agile development (jira), and atlassian tools (confluence)
Motivated and organized self-starter with the ability to solve routine or complicated problems effectively
Exhibit meticulous attention to detail, with the ability to make good, timely decisions
Excellent communication skills across all levels stakeholders
Excel in conflict resolution, negotiation, and people management
Adept at driving continuous improvement for agile practices within and across teams
Coach, mentor, and educate team members on agile and organization practices
Experience in telematics industry highly desirable
