This is a program manager role to support the current business value consulting (bvc) team and help this team scale via the use of new tooling and methodologies in coordination and collaboration with functions such as; product marketing, revenue marketing, field marketing, sales, customer solutions group (csg), including solution engineers, professional services, and training.
The confluent bvc function is primarily a customer facing team, that collaborates with prospects and customers to define, forecast and communicate the business value of partnering with confluentThe team also works with the internal confluent teams to provide customer feedback and infuse business value and solution selling in our go-to-market approach, aiming to improve the productivity of our sales teams and go to market operation.
Here is what you will get to do in this role.
Implement a business value platform, like decisionlink’s valuecloud® , the ecosystem platform, or mediafly’s alinean value selling & roi tool, to scale the number of business value and value realization assessments conducted each year by business value consultants, account executives, solution engineers, & customer success
Manage the process to maintain all financial models and keep current with new product introductions
Drive the development of a value messaging framework to enable sellers to focus on value selling vs product/technical sellingThis will include messaging for confluent as a platform, confluent solutions, and industry use cases
Own the process to develop and standardize best in class content to be leveraged in all value assessments and value realization engagements aligned to various sales plays
Drive the process to create insights based on customer usage and financial metrics to assist with building and operationalizing our customer’s journey
Contribute to the enablement process to scale value selling across the organization
Project manage various workstreams as we continue to build out the business value practice
Program management, working with similar teams within the software industry
Software selection processes
Understanding business value / solution messaging materials around technical / product propositions
Experience in software, management consulting / strategic advisory, ideally with a peer software company or top-tier management consultancy.
Quantitative: deep financial analysis and modelling of roi and tco concepts to craft business cases / business value propositions
Project management experience including proven experience of implementation and ensuring on-going success of a transformation.
Executive presence while collaborating with and successfully influencing budget holders to invest (proven experience helping teams collaborate through facilitation)
Strong verbal and written communication skills with strong facilitation skills, for clear articulation of business issues and recommendations
Ideally a background in the enterprise sw / data sector, with experience of enterprise cloud solutions.
Ability to work cross functionally and lead complex programs
Smart, humble, empathetic, proven track record of getting things done outside of day-to-day responsibilities, e.gWriting white papers, publishing blogs,
Acts with integrity and passion for the customer
Relevant degree / mba from a leading university preferred
