The role of learning program manager is key to the ongoing development of the ultrasound clinical education businessIn this highly visible role, the learning program manager (lpm) develops core curriculum content for our vascular and point of care programs according to approved educational models for all facets of training within the clinical education programsThe lpm utilizes tools developed according to adult education models and provide the ability to measure the course content effectiveness through competencies and evaluationsThe lpm works with fellow trainers, clinical managers, the business unit, product marketing, and service to develop and facilitate training programs, which provide effective end-user educationThe lpm is responsible for identifying advanced education needs for new products, leads and participates in internal ‘train-the trainer’ programs, provides symposia support, and assesses visiting facilitatorsThe learning program is responsible for identifying key opinion leaders / luminaries to collaborate with philips on the development and delivery of key programs to support customers with their ultrasound application needsThe learning program manager is responsible for ensuring that the clinical education specialist team is current in their skills, and we have sufficient staffing to support the programs.
Key responsibilities/duties
Responsible for developing and facilitating off-site classes in a timely fashion in accordance with approved adult education modelsThe development can include manuals, power point presentations, cd’s, tech tips, computer based training modules, online tutorials, flyers, and maintaining the modality specific curricula to reflect trends in a dynamic medical specialty.
Assist with ‘train-the-trainer educational processes including new hires, existing employees, and consultants to enhance the effectiveness of off-site training.
Assist in supporting the virtual instructor led training program initiative to support the roll out of vilt education programs.
Participate in venue site development, software training and facilitator support.
Assess customer need profiles and incorporate those profiles in all communications with administrative support.
Communicate with modality specific administrative support regarding changes in course content, course offerings, pre-requisite training and guidelines as approved by offsite modality manager.
Organize and coordinate modality specific educational symposia including, but not limited to, providing keynote speakers, being a speaker, creating philips breakout materials, providing demonstrations and equipment for the symposia, providing marketing materials, and staffing the booth.
Function as an extension of management and work with offsite manager(s) to produce education and training based on forecast of future growth, provide budgetary assistance in conjunction with departmental needs, and benchmark future off-site training requirements.
Validate and verify effective customer training with creation of customer evaluations, onsite follow-up of off-site pilot training programs, and monitoring customer evaluation databasesCreate and maintain follow-up phone surveys to customers.
Contribute to meeting the business objectives by participating in product segment team meetings, monitoring new product introduction and first of kind processes, and communicating with field css to ensure modality preparation for the npi and fok implementation.
Adhere to all current, published policies regarding information technology, travel, and expenses.
Provide the continuing opportunity for ongoing development of adult-based learning initiatives, computer skills, communication, and testing development.
Insure expense & revenue targets are met
Project management
Participate in the development of the project work plans; monitor workflow; review and evaluate work products, methods and procedures.
Report on the progress of the project / program with an agreed frequency on quality, status, time, and resource allocation to senior management and to the project/program members
Report project delays and escalate to manager as neededApply risk management and lean principles to minimize project risks.
Track project progress toward on-time delivery
Design, develop, and implement assessments and evaluations to determine learner competency and training program effectiveness
Additional responsibilities
Support virtual course development, program initiatives and roll out of virtual education programs.
Support content development of other training initiatives as needed.
Support the development of best practices and continuous improvement throughout the training environment, i.eProcesses, tools and templates.

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience
Specialty credentials/registry in the specific modality required: rvt (registered vascular technologist) via ardmsPreferred: bachelors degree from four-year college or university
5+ years of advance clinical experience, expert clinical knowledge and advanced clinical skills in specified modalities are requiredPreferred: experience with interventional procedures and point of care
Preferred teaching experience in a hospital or college level setting and/or certification by an accepted adult education specific program.
Proven strong proficiency with office applications (notably: power point, excel, word, adobe, and visio).
Experience with online course management tools and distance learning, developing learning material in a variety of formats and assessment techniques
Experience developing and facilitating adult learning using development tools such as manuals, powerpoint presentations, cds, tech tips, cbts (computer based training manuals), online tutorials, etc.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to professionally deal with a diverse set of problematic circumstances that surround difficult or demanding customer situations in a friendly and constructive manner using adult learning based guidelines.
Must focus on customer satisfaction by demonstrating flexibility in adapting to changing customer situations and equipment challenges by communicating suggestions and resolutions effectively to management.
Must be highly organized, proactive, detail and deadline oriented with ability to handle multiple priorities at once.
Able to perform self-reviews to ensure accuracy and work with minimal supervision.
Ability to travel, including weekends, by any public transportation means as required for meetings or external/internal trainingTravel may exceed 25%.
The preferred location for this position is bothell, wa but we will consider other locations within 1 hour of a major airport.
