The aws certification team is seeking a proven program manager to support the quality assurance (qa) process for the publication, maintenance, and translation of aws technical certification exams in a rapidly evolving and expanding landscape for global delivery.
Successful candidates will have experience in exam qa practices, localization, and item functionality; be detail oriented; have excellent writing skills; and be a problem solverCandidates will have in-depth knowledge of certification exam qa and publishing lifecyclesCandidates will also be familiar with best practices for localization qa testing.
Roles and responsibilities:
Manage exam qa project schedules and communicate the schedules internally while overseeing the exam lifecycle
Make recommendations and decisions that impact schedules, as well as re-prioritize and manage competing interests on a regular basis
Produce reports and presentations from aws’s delivery tools
Track and report on qa metrics and performance
Manage and maintain the qa process and audit regularly
Monitor and document qa standards and guidelines for multi-modal exam delivery
Ensure quality performance standards are met through planning, prioritizing, testing, and issue resolution of exams
Perform qa testing on various exam delivery files (e.g., exam specifications files, qti files, item lists)
Perform qa testing on test delivery vendors’ testing and production platforms
Perform qa testing on localizations
Focus on ensuring multiple quality checks and quality performance of exams including verification on: format of items and exams, functionality against specifications, scoring validation, and production validation
Innovate qa processes to create efficiencies and reduce manual redundancies
Strong organizational and communication skills
Ability to travel up to 10%
This role can be performed near any us aws office in the following cities: arlington, atlanta, austin, ballston, boston, chicago, cupertino, dallas, denver, detroit, east palo alto, herndon, houston, irvine, minneapolis, new york city, pittsburgh, portland, san diego, san francisco, seattle, washington d.c., tempe, sunnyvale, or santa monica.
