Overview: ace info solutions, a dovel company, seeks a high performing deputy program manager for our newly awarded prime contract supporting the usdaYou will be working together with the program manager and one or more project managers to support a mission critical program that makes a difference in the lives of fellow us citizensCandidate must be a u.sCitizen and be able to obtain public trust authorization from the u.sGovernment.
Duties & responsibilities:
Managing multiple application development projectsOverseeing all aspects of assigned projects and the software application development life cycleResponsible for on-time delivery of project scope.
Setting schedules and deadlines, assigning tasks and responsibilities, allocating resources, and monitoring progress of projects in an agile environment.
Tracking, managing, and communicating issues and risks.
Building and maintaining working relationships with team members, other teams and organizations, contractors, and federal leadership.creating and maintaining project plans and project management reports for management and federal leadership.hiring and managing direct reports; includes creating job descriptions, interviewing, onboarding activities, and conducting performance reviewsimplementing organizational standards and best practices in project executionEnsuring project goals are clearly documented and communicated to stakeholders.
Requirements: required qualifications:
Must be a us citizen
Bachelor’s degree or above in computer science, information systems, engineering, business or other related discipline
Experience managing complex application development projects including organizing and prioritizing multiple tasks, building a functional team, and balancing the needs of multiple stakeholdersClear understanding of change & risk management techniques
Knowledge of the software development lifecycle (sdlc) from planning and inception through implementation and post-production support
Understanding of, and experience with agile principles and processes including scrum, kanban, and scaled agile framework (safe)
Ability to identify, communicate, and resolve program-level roadblocks for multiple geographically distributed scrum teams
Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills; balancing strategic alignment with technology roadmap and emerging industry trends with practical delivery
Communicate at all levels with clarity, poise, maturity and precision, both written and verbally, including customers and high level managementInterpersonal skills must be top-notch.
Excellent coaching/mentoring and conflict resolution skills
Must be able to pass a background investigation for public trust security clearance
Pmp certification - or the ability to obtain certification within 6 months
Preferred qualifications:
History of managing federal it projects on time and exceeding customer expectations
Pmi-acp, safe, or other relevant agile certifications
Current usda public trust clearance
