Chemours is seeking an uptime program manager to join our growing operations team! this position will report directly to the business engineering director at our wilmington, de location and the role includes remote working arrangements.
The uptime program manager is a highly visible role in the titanium technologies business with the primary responsibility of instituting the management systems, technical solutions, and action plans required to further improve the competitive advantage of the largest chloride process titanium dioxide plants in the world.
The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:
Lead the implementation of complex change within all levels and functions at multiple chemical plants
Coordinate, prioritize, and marshal resources to implement improvements in existing production, maintenance, and reliability systems
Manage and lead through influence
Daily and weekly responsibilities include engagement and coaching with initiative owners, task teams, and site leadershipAssessing the effective implementation and impact of rcfas, reliable operations, initiatives, task teams, technology development, equipment upgrades
Coordination with all business functions to ensure the reliability portfolio has an overall positive improvement on commercial and operations goals
This role will be part of a small core team responsible for overseeing a portfolio of programs to achieve a significant shift in plant reliability within 3 years
The core team will report to the vp of operations
Working remotely is viable for this roleTravel will be <15%
The following is required for this role:
A thorough understanding of the processes involved in converting raw materials into intermediates and titanium dioxide utilizing the chloride process or similar processes
A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in engineering
5 years in operations or related leadership experience, plus 5 years of continuous improvement experience in plant quality, yield, maintenance
Multiple successfully implemented change programs
A 3-year commitment to the program

A deep working understanding of production, maintenance, and reliability systems
