This is a field-based position requiring interested candidates to live in the southwest territory preferably texasThis person will be reporting to our vice president, head, medical affairsYou will serve as a key scientific resource for clinicians, scientists, and advocacy groupsYou’ll work collaboratively to develop, align, and implement thought leader strategies, plans, and communications, ensuring that information shared is timely, accurate, and fair-balancedYou’ll provide scientific support, as well as other related duties, as we build our medical affairs team in preparation for our commercial launchResponsibilities:
Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
For msl level:
Engage in scientific exchange and develop strong scientific relationships with national, regional and local key opinion leaders and experts
Ensure the appropriate dissemination of fair-balanced scientific information in a compliant, and timely manner
Provide scientific presentations at company sponsored meetings such as advisory boards and external meetings such as managed care presentations
Provide scientific support at key regional and national congresses
Provide insights to internal colleagues gathered during scientific exchange with kols in a compliant manner
Respond to unsolicited requests for medical information in a timely manner
Cross-functional collaboration: ensure a close working relationship with all us cross-functional team members, including field-based counterparts and home office-based team members, legal, regulatory, market access individuals, medical/clinical operations in a compliant manner.
Adhere to internal and health care compliance guidelines
For senior msl level-along with above responsibilities:
Will be responsible for mentoring and execution of medical strategy, creating training content, providing training to internal colleagues
For associate director level-along with above responsibilities:
Will be responsible for some of the following but not limited to:
Develop and execute publication plans for eyepoint products
Lead development of scientific messaging
Ensure all medical communications meet the standards of medical integrity
Supporting medical information
Providing support for designing and executing medical strategy
Primary skills and knowledge required include, but are not limited to the following:
Previous experience with product launches and life cycle management.
Demonstrated expertise in ability to synthesize and communicate medical information clearly.
Ophthalmology experience strongly preferred
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are required
Team oriented, result driven with an ability to effectively interact with internal colleagues in clinical, marketing, sales, and managed care
Knowledge of industry and regulatory compliance guidelines
A valid us driver’s license and a good driving record are required
Ability to travel ~ 60-80% (based on the size of respective geography)

Level of education required:
A doctoral degree (md, pharmd, phd or equivalent) is preferred; a master’s degree (msn, pa, etc.) with extensive msl experience will be consideredPrevious medical science liaison experience strongly preferred or other medical affairs experience required
Number of years of experience in the function and in the industry: for an msl at least 0-2 years of experience (for srMsl 5+ years) (for ad, 8+years).
