The college board, the national educational organization, is conducting a search for a senior director, recruitment and enrollment solutions, who will lead our newly formed outreach and sales teamReporting to the vp, recruitment and enrollment solutions, this leadership position combines knowledge of the higher educational environment with an understanding of the college board’s programs and services to promote educational equity, access and excellence for all studentsThis position is based via remote work arrangement.
About the role
The senior director, recruitment and enrollment solutions (sdres) is responsible for leadership of a team of experienced outreach/sales directors in developing and implementing a sales strategy within defined regions and markets to promote recruitment and enrollment management products and servicesHe/she must have a successful track record and experience leading sales teams in the u.sHigher education marketThe sdres must also have knowledge of the enrollment issues faced by higher ed institutions today with a strong working knowledge of the college board programs that will meet the needs of those institutionsThe res team has defined sales objectives and revenue targets within designated states and/or regionsPrimary responsibilities include the management of the development of detailed account planning and consultative sales strategies, and the management of communications with key decision-makers at targeted prospect institutions .
Responsibilities of the role
Manage res team to attain and surpass volume/revenue goals, building effective relationships with institutional decision-makers and thought leaders in targeted colleges/universities
Manage expense controls
Manage and coordinate the execution of the sales process from initial contact to close of sale, with a focus on data-driven planning and decision-making
Collaborate with regional leadership and the program unit to develop and execute a sales plan.
Forecast sales results and communicate product needs and feedback
Provide ongoing and timely communications with manager and leadership
Maintain working knowledge of competing products and competitors.
Hiring, training, coaching and development of res team
Maintains significant and consistent contact with vp, recruitment and enrollment solutions; res directors; sr director, recruitment and enrollment success management; search program leadership; sdp regional vice presidents and chiefs, higher ed strategic relationship managers
Maintains significant and important contact with enrollment managers, deans/directors of admission, enrollment vendors.
Qualifications needed for the role
Bachelor’s degree required; graduate or professional degree preferred.
At least five to seven years of directly related, progressively responsible work experience in sales, managerial or professional position in education or a related field.
