The portfolio mix of beigene includes both in-licensed programs as well as a pipeline of internally developed programsThe in-licensed portfolio includes abraxane®, revlimid® and vidaza®, which beigene has been marketing in china since 2017 under a license from celgene logistics sàrl, a bristol myers squibb company (bms)The plan is to launch additional in-licensed products in china from two strategic collaborations, which includes xgeva® (denosumab), which was recently launched in china in 2020, kyprolis® (carfilzomib) and blincyto® (blinatumomab) from amgen; and sylvant ® (siltuximab) and qarziba ® (dinutuximab beta), from eusa pharma (eusa).

Reporting to the svp, business transformation, the executiv director of business transformation will be part of a core team in the business transformation office that will partner with the functions/businesses to help identify and drive business operations and process optimization efforts that will help beigene scale for the futureS/he will utilize techniques and methodologies to analyze, harmonize, and improve business processes internally across the organizationThis position defines the business improvement strategy, and manages, drives, and executes projects from concept through implementationThis is a highly strategic and systems-based thinker who can align and excite internal stakeholders and can facilitate success through credible dialogue, co-creating business process improvement initiatives and most importantly, partnering closely with the business leaders to help drive sustainable change in the organization.
Partnering with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize key business processes that are pain points currently and designing an initiative that will help resolve the issue and bring forth change management methodologies to ensure understanding and implementation by the key stakeholders.
Leading the execution of cross-functional projects aligned to strategic objectives by designing tactics that will deliver business objectives and strategy and identify impact on applications and business functions, justify required level of investment and ensure risks are considered.
Leading cross-functional stakeholders through resolving a business issue through workshops, discussions, and co-creating working groups to determine new ways of working that will improve the organization’s efficiency and effectiveness.
Identifying and mapping key business processes and taking a holistic view of the situation; this may include examining elements of the organization structure, as well as processes and systems.
Evaluating actions with the businesses / key stakeholders to identify solutions and / or bringing in outside expertise to help with design phase.
Act as a strategic business partner to the businesses in co-creating solutions and testing ideas early and often to ensure acceptance and feasibility.
Stewarding change and effectively embed and sustain change.
Ensuring post-implementation reviews occur to examine the benefits defined in the business case and evaluate whether or not the benefits have been achieved.
Developing and leveraging strong partnerships with stakeholders in the establishment of excellence in business operations, incorporating best practices and effective root cause analysis into future iterations of process, tools, training, or guidance.
Leading the strategic assessment of continual improvement of the business process
Managing as a peer leader within the organization and actively participate to ensure success of the strategic objectives.
The successful candidate will have experience in business process optimization, either as a management consultant or as an internal change agent of an organizationS/he will show the ability to successfully drive complex, large-scale cross functional process transformation initiativesIdeally, s/he would have a combination of consulting experience with industry experience and has helped a company think about scale as they prepare for commercialization excellenceGiven the scale and globality of beigene, s/he is also a leader who has worked cross culturally and understands how to harmonize processes across regions while still providing flexibility for localization.
7-10 years in the healthcare industry (preferably with specific experience in biotech) and/or management consulting firm focused on business process improvement and/or business transformation work.
Strong understanding of a global healthcare business, ideally with expertise supporting a functional area such as clinical development, commercial, or operations.
Has worked in a complex global environment; demonstrated ability to prioritize multiple projects efficiently.
Experience facilitating process optimization and process change initiatives in a cross-functional setting.
Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills, with an ability to interact at all levels of an organization.
Experience working cross-functionally and cross-culturally in support of business processes and/or systems, especially as they impact and influence multiple departments and levels of management.
Very strong and highly effective strategic thinker and problem solver with high degree of emotional intelligence, with the ability to both recognize and anticipate problems.
Demonstrated ability to translate solutions into viable action plans at a global level that are effectively disseminated and implemented through cooperation of stakeholders.
Demonstrated ability to effectively build business relationships and influence without authority as part of a matrix organization.

Mba education required.
10+ years in the healthcare industry (preferably with specific experience in biotech) and/or management consulting firm focused on business process improvement and/or business transformation work.
