The executive director of technology training and development heads the tech engagement team and reports to the senior vice president of tech training and adoptionThis position is responsible for the assessment, identification and implementation of re/max technology training and development; internally, to our global network of agents and business units in the fieldThe executive director of training and development actively searches, creatively designs, and implements effective methods for enhancing performance, and recognizing outstanding performanceThis person must be highly experienced, motivated, and dedicated to delivering quality training and leading and growing a team as the performance of the business is highly dependent on support from the tech engagement training department.
The executive director of training and development maintains a consistent and positive culture on the tech engagement team, and will be overseeing the creation, implementation, and improvement of all training and education efforts as they relate to re/max technology in the following areas:
New franchise onboarding
Learning and development - for all annual conferences, webinars and technology training tours
Qualifications and skills:
Bachelors degree required
10 years experience in a training and development capacity, with 5+ years in a leadership role.
Must have experience managing teams across multiple departments.
Experience in content creation, maintenance of training processes,
Management of a multi tiered learning management system, and the successful development of ongoing training and development programs.
Superior verbal and written communication skills, comfort and experience with communicating to all levels of stakeholders
C-level influencing skills; ability to quickly build credibility and gain the confidence of individuals at all levels
Demonstrated success in a high pressure, dynamic, fast-paced environment
Strong business and financial acumen with a sense of shareholder responsibility
Creative, resilient and flexible – can think “outside the box” to find ways forwards in complex environment
Empathetic and self-aware to others and can work in challenging environments
Proactive about finding ways for continuous improvement
Comfortable with ambiguity
High level of proficiency with ms office (outlook, powerpoint and excel
Works with the svp to identify business developmental needs ensuring that there is consistency with core competencies and goals, while working within department budgets.
Ensures consistent training standards for re/max tech and oversees the planning, prioritization, and development of new training programs and initiatives
Mentor to key personnel in tech engagement, ensuring development of professional skills, and succession planning.
Staying current with latest instructional technologies through the establishment of personal networks, personal development, and participation in professional industry associations.
Working in collaboration with re/max technology leadership to set quarterly objective and key results (okr’s) that align with overall team strategy.
Implementing field leadership training programs, broker and agent training programs and subsequent support, and identifying tools for relaying that content to relevant personnel.
Tracking of departmental training records and developing dashboard reporting for all levels in the business.
Conducting needs assessment to identify and define present and future training needs.
Conducts follow-up studies on all completed training programs to evaluate and measure results for senior management and key stakeholders.
