Description:
The executive assistant will provide administrative support to the executive director of both the american immigration council and american immigration lawyers association, to help further each organization’s mission.
As with all positions at the council and aila this position requires commitment to each organization’s mission.
Essential functions of this job includes, but is not limited to:
Anticipate and understand the needs of the executive director.
Update council wide calendar and coordinate council wide communications.
Prepare meeting agendas, minutes, note taking, and follow-ups as necessary.
Responsible for scheduling and meeting logistics and meet and greet all visitors meeting with the executive director.
Assist in managing executive director’s relationship with board and senior staff.
Assist with preparing board meeting materials and other related documents.
Manage board meeting logistics.
Provide administrative and clerical support to board members, committees, and working groups as necessary.
Coordinate agendas and events with aila and senior staff.
Coordinate travel arrangements for staff as necessary.
Draft correspondence; maintain electronic and paper files including copying, and mailing courier packages.
Proofread materials, including grant proposals and reports.
Manage the council info-box email and voicemail.
Perform other duties and projects as assigned.
Requirements:
To perform successfully in this role, incumbent should possess the following skills:
