Overview: as an important part of the transcat customer operation, the sales/ ops person is principally responsible for ensuring that our systems, strategic initiatives, and business rhythms for both new and existing customers are aligned directly with the business outcomes we are committed to achieving.
This position should be thought of as an internal consultant, program manager, and change agent – all in oneThis position is a key element in the support of sales management’s strategic and daily initiativesThe ideal candidate will take the existing situation, learn our business processes rapidly, and be ready to dive in as an individual contributor immediately from day one.
The sales ops analyst is an autonomous, creative, results driven individual and requires a combination of internal, as well as, external customer-focus, and driveResponsibilities:
Essential duties and responsibilities, including the following, but not limited to:
Collect, analyze, evaluate data in order to increase sales productivity
Build, generate, and analyze reports using sfdc, excel and other various sources
Present data to sales management, provide recommendations and work collectively to create solutions
Collect sales records and trends to evaluate performance to quota
Assist management in developing and reviewing the sales budget and rolling sales forecast including sales to budget variances
Analyze product and service business operations to determine profitability and to establish baseline changes for sales to bring to operational partners
Develop models that identify costs by function and identify a baseline for action
Work with director of business development to assess market trends, pricing, costs, competitor strategies and vertical markets.
Communicate sales strategies, initiatives, segment information and other key findings to appropriate stakeholders
Align with business analysts and administrators on project - based technology initiatives
Working environment and travel office environment, travel to national service meetings (up to 10%) qualifications:
Strategic selling alumni (not required, but a strong plus)
Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
Excellent written, verbal, and analytical skills
Strong knowledge of ms office applications including: word, excel, project and powerpoint
Expert knowledge of salesforce, excel
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work independently, and in a team environment
Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in related role or field
