Description:
We’re currently seeking a senior forecasting analyst who is an analytical thinker and effective problem solverThe srAnalyst will be responsible for assisting the finance team through interpretation of data and analysis of trends in specified data setsThe srAnalyst will develop and publish forecast and analysis for the organizationThis person needs to be results-oriented, organized and committed to flawless execution.
Key responsibilities:
Work with marketing, finance and purchasing to forecast sales, margin, and inventory needs
Extract and communicate key performance drivers and create actionable reporting and analysis
Analyze promotional effectiveness and merchandise mix and margin impact
Self-starter who can create and/or enhance forecasting process, reporting and value added analysis to help drive effective business decisions
Develop modeling techniques to improve forecasting projections for assigned processes
Monitor and analyze inventory and in-stock trends
Create forecast for active items and present results to purchasing and marketing teams
Provide monthly reporting of year to date and year end projections verse budget and last year
Provide purchasing team with on hand and future receipts forecast and discuss current/potential shortages
Provide ad hoc forecast, sales and demand reports as requested
Acquire data from primary or secondary data sources and maintain databases/data systems
Requirements:
Qualifications:
Education and experience
Bs in accounting or finance
3 + years’ experience in demand planning and / or merchandise planning in ecom or retail environment
Experience partnering with leaders and collaborating at all levels of the organization
Knowledge, skills, and abilities
Knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical packages for analyzing datasets
Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to write queries, generate reports, and present findings
Strong communication and facilitation skills
Good planning and organizing skills
