We are looking for a tax and compliance manager to join our finance teamThis individual will work directly with big's finance director in managing all tax and compliance related activities including tax compliance for income tax returns, other tax related business filings, transfer pricing and tax planningThis includes working within the company and/or with external partners to file tax returns and extensions and ensure proper documentation and support for filingsBig’s expanding global footprint, evolving business model, and strong organic and inorganic growth, provide this position with substantial opportunities to impact and support the business.
This position is work from home flexible but will be based out of big headquarters located in salt lake city, utah.
Assist in preparation and/or review of the annual income tax provision calculations and related financial statement disclosures in accordance with asc 740.
Oversee indirect tax compliance including franchise tax, gross receipts tax, sales and use tax, vat and gst compliance.
Perform technical tax research related to tax filing and payment requirements and monitor general tax law changes and implementing such changes as necessary.
Manage global transfer pricing matters including documentation to support intra-group transactions and comply with local regulationsAssist in preparation of intercompany transactions being recorded in accounting system.
Oversee and coordinate with external tax providers on tax related strategies and planning and consult on non-standard and unusual tax transactions.
Communicate with partners for tax related matters including tax distributions and tax documents.
Document and maintain tax processes and procedures.
Act as the point-of-contact and oversee examinations or audits of taxes by domestic and international tax authorities.
Assist and support with ad-hoc projects as directed.
4+ years of relevant tax work experience
Graduate degree in accounting/tax and/or cpa
Public accounting and/or extensive prior tax experience
International tax and/or partnership tax experience is preferred, but not required
