Capstone headwaters’ (“capstone”) esop advisory group is searching for a motivated professional to work closely with senior team members while executing a variety of valuations, corporate finance transactions, and supporting business development initiativesWe are seeking a polished professional and articulate associate or vice presidentMust have a willingness to take on additional projects and work outside of the scope of the job descriptionOur team has individual offices throughout the u.sAnd this position is 100% virtualThe individual must be self-motivated and comfortable working virtually.
The seasoned associate or vice president is responsible for the preparation of valuations involving business enterprises, common stock, preferred stock, stock options, and warrantsA majority of valuation analysis and summary presentations are for employee stock ownership plan (esop) transaction and implementation purposesOther engagements may include both minority interest & controlling interest valuations for the following purposes: (1) internal planning relating to m&a activities, (2) gift and estate tax planning, (3) financial reporting and tax reporting, and (4) buy/sell agreements.
Gather meaningful financial and operational data
Prepare economic and industry analysis
Lead client management interviews
Prepare historical financial analysis and develop forecast assumptions in discussions with client
Develop weighted average cost of capital analysis based on risk assessment including the development of various discount and capitalization rates
Create market approach in valuation utilizing public company method, researching comparable companies, and comparing key performance metrics
Research various m&a target companies and identify potential buyers for client
Conduct comprehensive economic analysis for the “state of the economy” both nationally and locally and the related impact on the client
Develop transaction feasibility and implementation analysis and presentations
Assist in developing fairness opinions for transactions
Valuation report writing
Travel as required (5-10%)
Undergraduate degree in accounting, economics or finance
5+ years of accounting or finance experience with either public or private companies
Formal valuation experience required
Strong reporting writing skills
Good understanding of generally accepted accounting principals (gaap)
High degree of maturity and integrity
Strong attention to detail, leadership skills and work ethic
Self-starting team player who can excel in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial, challenging work environment
Demonstrated aptitude for quantitative and qualitative analysis
Solid understanding of financial statements and financial modeling
Strong verbal and written communications skills
Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
Proficiency with microsoft office products and capital iq
Must be authorized to work in the united states
