The new finance organization
Mediakind was formed in 2019, after it was carved out of ericsson, and we have ambitious growth plansThe new cfo, amy sMarmolejo, joined in january 2021 to lead the company's financial operations, work to accelerate mediakind's evolution into saas and cloud based applications, as well as drive expansion into a range of new markets, to fully capture the sizable opportunity in front of the companyAmy’s unique skill set combines a robust, results-driven background in finance, alongside a genuine passion for helping high-growth organizations to aspire, grow, and scale.
Her goal is to create a world-class team to help drive her strategic vision as well as the strategic vision of the company – which is to first be fit for growth and then to grow and scale.
We are seeking a proven and experienced senior financial analyst to take on a key strategic role in our growing, global fp&a operations overseeing and standardizing our reporting portfolio through partnering with cross functional stakeholders to build world class, timely and accurate reporting suite that is aligned with the key performance indicators required to effectively manage the businessThe successful candidate will be a technical business liaison between it, finance, accounting, and all other business partners that rely on the business intelligence afforded by well architected systems and data hygiene.
This role will be remote (if desired) as the team is globalIt will report to the director of finance who will likely be remote as wellThis is a highly visible position as the success of many of the 2021 key improvement initiatives are reliant on a strong reporting bedrock.
The ideal candidate needs to have experience and comfort working with various levels of leadership within it and other key functions and must be able to take initiative to get the job done with little direction to provide valuable reporting, dashboarding capabilities and other automated data and information services in a timely and accurate manner.
Additionally, to be a successful candidate, this person must be engaging and energetic to align with the team culture; have strong written and verbal communication skills, excellent systems and data handling skills, advanced excel and modeling also a requirement.
Senior financial analyst responsible for the company’s critical system and reporting architecture and portfolio of reports, kpi’s and dashboards
Support system integrity, data hygiene, process mapping, resource alignment to improve quality and timeliness of reporting suite
Architect and implement new and improved reporting suite to inform on key performance indicators highlighting important trends and variances to expectations
Assist with reviewing and evaluating key operational and financial data with cross-functional leaders and, when appropriate, helping to drive root cause analyses and development of corrective action plans to address under performance
Assist with driving accountability, monitoring performance, and developing financial improvement initiatives
Build, maintain and continuously improve best in class processes and procedures
Continuously identify, design, and implement process improvements, as appropriate, to simplify, standardize and streamline efforts
Build, maintain and continuously improve our finance software, tools, and financial systems
Support ad hoc financial information requests and projects
Bachelor or masters’ degree in finance with an mba, preferred
5+ years progressive fp&a reporting experience with proven results
Deep experience and passion for financial systems and tools including large erp systems (oracle or sap), planning tools and reporting systems
Advanced excel skills
Recent experience with high-growth, multinational, public companies and m&a-oriented private equity owned businesses a plus
Excellent people and communication skills with proven results interacting cross functionally
Leadership presence with ability to influence others
Desire and proven ability to roll up their sleeves and get work done
Energetic, results oriented individual
