We are a rapidly expanding, innovative financial services organization seeking to add a top-flight vice president – business development & ria platformto our teamThis position is responsible for recruiting new advisors and growth of existing relationships by providing world-class sales support and service to advisorsIn addition, they would report to the president of the rias in innovating, managing, and training on the investment platform and product offering to all investment advisor representatives & registered investment advisors that work with the enterprise.
The vice president - business development is a sales role designed to cultivate business through the discovery and recruiting of new advisors as iars, ria firms and super ensembles advisors to the valor capital management platform or prosperity capital advisors corporate ria, in addition to insurance agents to clarity insurance marketingThe vp of business development will determine the right opportunities that meet the requirements to join valor capital management, prosperity capital advisors & clarity insurance marketing; primarily by prequalifying new potential advisors, assisting the lead recruiter in running our sales process, supporting the onboarding and transition of the advisor, and help them win new businessThis role will work in sync with one or more senior vice presidents or executive vice presidents of business development, who are primarily responsible for growing existing relationships as well as running the sales process with qualified opportunitiesThe vice president – ria platform is a management role designed to help build & navigate the right investment offering, blended portfolio design, and operational implementation to meet the unique needs of our investment advisor representativesThis role will be accountable for investment manager maintenance, overall aum platform growth & advisor education/implementation of our strategies.
Partner with senior vice presidents or executive vice presidents to develop new business, exclusively with iars, rias, insurance agents and within our super ensembles.
Travel to meet all qualified prospects across the country.
Generate sales plans that complement corporate marketing initiatives in regard to enterprise/ria/insurance channel development.
Build relationships with fund families and custodial partners in order to best serve our advisors.
Work with our sales desk to assist in uncovering and developing potential opportunities within the assigned territories.
Utilize social media such as linkedin as a means to build a virtual advisor network to discover and communicate with prospectsCultivate & develop warm leads through a soft referral of someone in network.
Creative prospecting through hand-written letters, private labeling/co-branding marketing materials, and other methods that show advisors how we are their partners in growth.
Perform more in-depth research on prospective advisors prior to calling in order to have deeper conversations related to their businesses.
Proactive phone sales by conducting advisor fit calls to discovery meetings for senior vice presidents or executive vice presidents.
Documented quarterly & annual planning meetings conducted with all iars & ria clients.
Documented success of growing enterprise revenue year over year.
Coordinate a superior on-boarding experience with the operations team through the implementation of sales process best practices which include, but are not limited to:
Website training, case design, and proposal creation.
Assist advisors in closing their accounts by providing consulting support prior to and immediately following their client presentations.
Upon funding, offer additional resources & training to manage the client relationship from a sales perspective while giving additional clarity as to how to partner with c2p enterprises in the future.
Coordinate with the service and operations team with the goal of providing a seamless on-boarding experience during submission of the advisor’s accounts.
Coordinate introduction and expectations conversation with advisor and all members of team.
Coordinate initial sales & onboarding training sessions so that sales and service are working to complement content provided, fill gaps where needed, and facilitate advisor’s understanding.
Consistently discuss existing and upcoming advisor opportunities to ensure that the needs of each advisor are being met to reinforce a great experience and continued business.
Help determine any special circumstances and uncover ways to flex in order to provide an excellent experience no matter what the challenge.
Maintenance of investment management platform, including coordination with third party managers.
Advisor education/implementation of our strategies.
Quarter -over-quarter aum platform growth.
Licenses or designations: any of the following: series 65, cfp®, cfa®, aif®, cima®
5+ years of experience in the financial services industry.
Experience in ria business development, recruiting, and growth roles.
Experience selling managed money platforms.
Strong understanding of custodial services offered to ria’s.
Belief in strategic asset management with knowledge of vanguard, blackrock, & dimensional fund advisors.
Belief in insurance & annuities as part of a holistic financial plan.
Demonstrated problem solving skills.
Demonstrated ability to communicate and sell over the phone as well as in person.
Demonstrated written and verbal communication.
Demonstrated time management and organizational skills.
Demonstrated ability to partner with and lead a team.
A self-starter who takes initiative and can work independently.
Proficient in using microsoft office applications (excel, word, powerpoint)
