About the job
As the head of business growth for vitagene, a product of 1health, you will be responsible for defining the growth strategy, coordinating and executing growth plans, and optimizing the funnel to meet revenue targets for top of funnel, subscription services, retention, and churnThe role is part marketing, part coach/manager/ and full collaboratorYou will be a key part of the 1health team ensuring that vitagene business goals are set appropriately, communicated clearly, and executed on aggressivelyWorking from the top of the funnel to the bottom, you will own the process and ensure that our marketing and sales efforts achieve the vitagene business goals, while providing a customer experience that exceeds expectationsYou will build and lead a team that focuses on customer acquisition, activation, subscription conversion, and retention, using both inbound and outbound strategies and online/offline approaches to move customers through the funnelYou will oversee processes and collaborate cross functionally to ensure alignment between customer expectations and experienceYou will constantly collect data to track and improve on all steps in the funnel, identifying bottlenecks and increasing automationIf you have the marketing, sales, and growth chops and are hungry to apply your experience to a fast-paced startup with lofty aspirations, then this is the role for you!
As the head of business growth, vitagene, you will be responsible for:
Growth: develop and manage a robust pipeline to successfully meet revenue targetsProven experience in building subscription business with an out of the box thinking with developing various top of funnels entry points for conversion to subscription serviceDevelop and monitor the vitagene’s growth strategy for all stages in the funnel (marketing, sales, customer experience, top of funnel, subscription conversion, and retention), including defining a roadmap for each marketing channel.
Subscription business: responsible for the full cycle subscription business experience utilizing your familiarity and experience with subscription, activation, conversion, retention, churn business metrics.
Analytics: develop a system to track conversion rates and measure progress against goals, constantly looking to eliminate bottlenecks, improve processes, and introduce creative ideas and solutions that are quickly tested and evaluatedProvide customer insight to the larger team by blending data with a deep understanding of user needs, habits, and perceptions developed through targeted interviews, usability studies, and customer feedbackIdentify customer personas and translate our program and outcomes into external messaging and communicationsEstablish methods to capture detailed and timely data at all customer touch points.
Leadership: manage the vitagene team (marketing manager, engagement manager, developers, and product manager) to coordinate and execute the strategy, providing incentives and inspiration to keep them energized and motivated, as well as the structure and support needed to reach targetsCommunicate strategies and results to the leadership team on a consistent basis.

Education and experience
Bachelor’s degree in technology, business, or related field or related field or equivalent work experience
Minimum of five years of experience in growth marketing, growth hacking, or product management
Experience setting, executing, and iterating a growth strategy
Experience scaling subscription business on key elements: customer acquisition, activation, conversion, and retention while limiting costs and maximizing lifetime value
Experience building, leading, and managing a team of marketers and sales persons
Proven experience tracking analytics and exceeding sales kpis
Proven experience in online acquisition tactics and best practices
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities at once
Ability to perform well in a fast-paced, cross-functional, dynamic, and ambiguous startup environment
Experience managing partnerships
Experience managing a distributed team preferred
Experience working within a software as a service (sas) company preferred
Knowledge and skills

Understanding of direct-to-consumer (d2c) subscription business, conversion, retention techniques, abandoned cart methods, tracking and managing cohort value, and website messaging
