Senior IT Support Engineer Vacancy Position Description Perituza Lanka Pvt. Ltd. is looking for an experienced Senior IT Engineer, specializing in Windows desktop server support and administration. The developer will assist end-users as well as IT teams while adhering to industry best practices and standards. Work hours: Flexible hours. However, when assigned to a project, you must be available online from 7 pm to 2 am for project meetings. Location: Work from home. The engineer must have a reliable internet connection and a computer. Employment: Permanent full-time (40 hrs. per week, Monday to Friday) Key Responsibilities This position provides ongoing IT support at agreed deadlines. This position requires some supervision but works independently on most tasks. Typical tasks include: Handle incoming service requests from internal customers as well as external customers via telephone, web, and email in a courteous manner Record incidents document all pertinent end customer identification information, including name, department, contact information, and nature of problem or issue Classify and prioritize problems and escalate problems (when required) to the appropriately experienced IT engineer Record, track, and document the service desk request problem-solving process, including all successful and unsuccessful decisions made, and actions taken, through to final resolution Apply standard, approved diagnostic utilities to aid in troubleshooting Identify and learn appropriate software and hardware used and supported by the organization Perform fixes at the desktop level using remote tools which will include installing and upgrading software and configuring systems and applications Work experience requirement This is an experienced position. The expected length of relevant prior experience beyond formal education is 5+ years. 5+years’ experience in advanced knowledge of Windows Operating Systems Hands-on experience with Citrix, RDP, Active Directory, Office 365 administration, and Azure Active Directory Previous experience in a Help Desk and or technical support environment MCP in Windows or A+ Certification Other knowledge or expertise required: Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. Must be able to communicate effectively with native English-speaking customers. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Time management skills Ability to be flexible and creative Additional Skills (not mandatory) The following skills will consider as an added advantage: Experience with the following: SQL Server Administration Azure DevOps Azure and AWS virtual machines Network security virtual networks Education Requirements Bachelor's degree in IT or Computer Science or a related technical discipline Work Schedule (under normal circumstances) The hours for this position is from 7 pm to 2 am Sri Lankan local time Other Requirements (remote position) Awork environment (work from home) free of distractions and background noise Dedicated workspace with a suitable background for video calls with clients Reliable high-speed internet connection Please send us your updated CV to [email protected] The email subject must be “Senior IT Support Engineer (full-time)” .
