You will use your space-based network architecture and automation experience with a focus on end-to-end connectivity and “last mile” resilienceDemonstrate your background in constellation inter-satellite link design, integration planning, organization, and leadershipYou will lead the design and integration of ground/space infrastructure for tactical leo command, control, and data transport layer and of mobile ground infrastructureAdditionally, this role includes:
Application of technical knowledge to set technical objectives to analyze, investigate and resolve advanced engineering problems; including future applications, and engineering developments.
Resolution of hardware/software interface problems, the definition of input/output parameters, and integration of the entire system or subsystem.
Satellite communication system and crypto subsystem design, configuration and procedure development, review, and execution.
We collaborate closely with internal and customer subject matter experts, government representatives, and other specialists.
10+ years of space vehicle and network operations
Experience architecting, designing, developing, and operating of satellite tt&c and payload data networks and communication subsystems.
Experience with 24/7 low earth orbit (leo) operations.
Demonstrated ability to take a satellite communication network system design concept through the full systems engineering process culminating in successful operations in space.
Experience working with interdisciplinary teams including network, payload systems, software, rf engineering, and spacecraft operations.
Strong analytic/mathematics background with experience in system modeling, simulation, and analysis.
System, software, or test engineering background including design and implementation.
Strong technical leadership
Active clearance or ability/willingness to obtain a security clearance
Master’s degree in computer science, network engineering, or related discipline
U.sGovernment positionU.sCitizenship required
Up to 10% of domestic travel
Understanding of space systems environments, operational methodologies, tt&c design, and payload data handling.
Understanding of model-based system engineering techniques
A strong technical background in rf systems (communications, ew or radar)
The ability to lead trade studies and architect innovative solutions to difficult technical problems
Willing to obtain a dod ts sci clearance (or held one in the last 2 years)
This role can be performed from our carlsbad, ca headquarters or remotely.
