Overview:
Vectrus is developing a smart warehousing prototype designed to provide increased digitization and efficiencies to existing dod warehousesVectrus is seeking a results-driven systems analyst or process engineer to work with the on-site customer to determine and decompose detailed requirements to create working solutions for those requirements to translate those requirements to the development team so that they are implemented into the overall prototype systemThe applicant should possess the ability to collaborate with both project and government personnel in execution of the effort for the department of the navy, help manage the customer relationship, and have excellent problem solving and critical thinking skills.
This position requires the candidate to serve in multiple capacities as the primary on-site representative of vectrus, coordinating with on-site government personnel as well as remote prototype developers as the project moves through development, implementation, installation, experimentation, and testingThis involves work with a prototype that includes integrations with technologies such as robotics, augmented reality, and smart storage solutions designed to be fielded on a 5g supplied network.

This is a position in the san diego, ca area, and frequent trips to the naval base coronado candidate warehouse site are envisioned as required to perform the duties associated with this role.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with on-site government personnel to understand detailed requirements.
Work with the development team to determine functional technology solutions to meet requirements.
Assist with system requirement, design, experimentation, testing, and logistics of 5g smart warehouse hardware, software, and supporting components.
Assist remote personnel in troubleshooting and system level issues.
Serve as on-site liaison to government customer and warehouse personnel.
Assist in remote and on-site experimentation and testing of the prototype system.
Assist in preparation system documentation, operational processes, and technical instructions.
Qualifications:
Education / certifications:
Bachelor’s degree in stem field.
Business / systems analyst certification (semc, cbap, or similar)
Experience and skills:
Minimum 8+ years’ experience in requirements definition and system development to include successfully designing, installing, and testing systems as part of an engineering team.
Proven experience in solving challenging technical problems.
Experience with test equipment.
Individual must be a self-motivated performer and work well both as an individual as well as in small groups to accomplish unique project objectives.
Individual must be able to manage and prioritize multiple taskings at one time.
Must be able to communicate with the customer clearly and support the remote development team.
Nice to have:
Warehousing or logistics experience
Experience working with us navy or government contracts
Clearance requirement:
Candidates should be eligible to apply for a dod secret level clearance.
