Northrop grumman space systems is seeking a motivated candidate to join the electronics and payloads directorate as a staff fpga/asic design engineerThe selected applicant will become a pivotal part of the implementation of digital communication designs for space applicationsThis position is based at our gilbert az campus
Primary responsibilities include, but not limited to:
Vhdl design of asic and/or fpga logic, with an emphasis in digital signal processing
Fpga/asic verification via simulation and emulation (lab testing), synthesis, timing analysis, and place and route for fpga
Developing and presenting design reviews for internal and external customers
Fpga design for space environment or space applications
Mentor and oversee a small team of design engineers
Basic qualifications:
Bachelor`s degree in electrical or computer engineering or another stem bachelor`s degree from an accredited institution with 14+ years of experience; or stem master`s degree with 12+ years of experience; or stem phdDegree with 9+ years of experience
Experience in rtl design using vhdl or verilog for digital technology
Previous experience in space applications
10 years of experience in design and simulation for digital technology
Must have the ability to obtain and maintain an active government security clearance
Preferred qualifications:
Digital signal processing experience for digital communications
Hands-on lab experience with testing of digital hardware is highly desired
Familiar with uvm verification methodology
