The northrop grumman employee experience team seeks a savvy and strategic principal communications representative who is confident in being a strategic advisor, has an innovative spirit, thinks outside the “lets send an e-mail” box, thrives on the challenge of telling compelling stories, and constantly seeks to improve through disciplined measurement, analysis and adjustment.
This position will be located in linthicum, md, rolling meadows, il or mclean, va.
In this job, you’ll:
Develop, implement and measure employee and executive communications plans for assigned functional leaders in an effort to inform and inspire employees and drive business goals.
Serve as a trusted advisor and work in partnership with other leaders to integrate messages and methods in support of broader business priorities.
Write talking points, speeches, video scripts, employee announcements and executive summaries for senior leaders.
Be a storyteller – conceptualize, forage and produce a diverse array of inspirational content that supports our business goals and communications objectives.
Collect and analyze data, make recommendations to improve our approach and the results of future communications, events and activities.
Lead and/or support the coordination of executive events, including virtual and eventually in person webcasts, site visits, conferences and ceremonies.
Support change management communications activities.
Ensure all communications strategies and tactics are consistent with the company’s strategic vision and reflect the northrop grumman brand.

Love blending internal and external communications and have a track record of developing and implementing successful communications campaigns

This role can be filled at a level 3 or 4.
Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, english, marketing or a related field with a minimum of 6 years of experience managing communications projects, channels or campaigns, drafting communication content, materials and products -or- 4 years of experience with a master’s degree in a related field with similar communications project experience.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong problem solving, organizational skills and attention to detail.
Proficient in associated press style.
Proficient in microsoft office suite (word, sharepoint, excel, powerpoint, outlook)
Experience in strategic or digital communications, journalism, marketing, public relations
Experience with social media channels, audiences and practices
Experience establishing and advancing an organization’s brand
Salary range: 80100 - 125800 salary range 2: 99200 - 155900
